These days, Florida Keys spas play an integral role in many resorts and luxury Florida Keys hotels. Having an extensive, full-service spa provides a further enticement for events such as weddings and, of course, the subsequent honeymoon, and many of these resorts offer vacation packages that cater to this market. They are great places to relax after full days of vigorous activities out on the water, so people who spend their time on a jet ski, snorkeling, or fishing also seek out these resorts and spas. Many resorts offer vacation packages and will include spa treatments in their room rates, and even properties without their own spas often have promotions that offer discounts at nearby day spas.
You will find excellent full-service spas all over the islands, including on Marathon Key and Big Pine Key. Hawks Cay Resort, less than ten miles from Marathon Key, is a secluded 40-acre exclusive resort with a full-service spa and also is a place where you can enjoy dolphin swims. On Little Torch Key, just over the bridge from Big Pine Key, is the deluxe Little Palm Island Resort and Spa, offering luxurious bungalow suites. It's on it own island and can be reached only by boat or seaplane. One of the most extensive and decadent of Florida Keys spas, Spa Terre, is located at this resort. Another decadent Spa Terre is located in the Ocean Key Resort in Key West. The hotel's lagoon-style swimming pool and meditative Zen garden provide the perfect complement to the spa.
There are several Key Largo spas as well as some in nearby Tavernier. Kiki's is one of these of the Key Largo spas catering to weddings, and bridal parties can reserve the entire facility for a truly unique bachelorette party. The Marriott Key Largo Bay Resort has a day spa and full wellness center. The Island Body and Sol operates a day spa in Key Largo as well as one further south in Islamorada. Day spas are in fact the most numerous Key Largo spas that can be enjoyed by anyone, whether you're camping or staying at regular Key Largo hotels.
There are more Key West spas than there are spas on any of the other islands. If you're booked at one of the smaller hotels or bed and breakfast inns that does not have a spa, you will find day spas in Key West that are within walking distance of just about anywhere in town. The town is quite compact and most of its attractions, such as the Hemingway Home and Fort Zachary Taylor, are easily reached on foot. Otherwise, look for Key West spas at one of the many resorts and luxury hotels.
The Ocean Key Resort is perhaps one of the best. It's adjacent to famous Mallory Square and has one of the most extensive Florida Keys spas in the entire archipelago. However, you don't need to go to Key West spas to receive spa-type pampering. It's possible to book massages in the privacy of your own room at many of the finer Key West hotels; just ask the front desk or your concierge.
