Duval Street

Duval Street in Key West is one of the most inspiring, one-of-a-kind locations to visit. It is colorful and interesting, friendly and entertaining, and visually beautiful with its preserved Spanish and Bahamian-influenced Victorian estates. A distinct Cuban influence is easily detectable. Inns, art galleries, boutiques, and bodega’s line the expansive walkways through town. Apart from the famous "Duval Pub Crawl" that snakes its way in and out of the street’s famous drinking holes, Duval Street buzzes with activity day and night. The mix of people and places along the avenue creates an eclectic, welcoming, and irresistible Key West vibe.

Live music, iconic bars, and frosty drinks are an integral part of entertainment along Duval Streets. The Green Parrot has been a landmark bar since the late 19th century. Infamous for an array of questionable art adorning the walls, this bar is best for the al fresco seating and legendary jukebox served up with a side of excellent cocktails, cold beer, and friendly service. One of Hemingway’s rumored drinking holes is Captain Tony’s Saloon, a local favorite that has even been mentioned in one of Jimmy Buffet’s famous tunes. Jimmy Buffet also owns Margaritaville bar on Duval near Eaton. Sloppy Joe’s is a friendly rival and equally good bar for laid-back fun and live music at noon. Finnegan’s Wakes is well loved for its clandestine backyard pub seating and Turtle Kraals for its turtle races.
