Higgs Beach is located next to the Casa Marina Resort, one of the Key West luxury hotels, between where Reynolds and White streets meet the ocean.

In 2005, man’s best friend found a new place to play with the opening of Higgs Beach Dog Park. Open from sunset to well into the night, the park welcomes dogs of all breeds and sizes. In fact, one site is set aside just for small dogs. Water fountains are found throughout Higgs Beach Dog Park, so canines can stay refreshed.

The West Martello Tower, built during the Civil War, is now a National Historic Site and a part of the Key West Garden Club. There’s no cost to stroll through the beautiful grounds and visit the fort, and it’s also free to enter the beach and the dog park.
