Key West Motels

Key West motels provide visitors to the Conch Republic with some budget-friendly lodging options. Those who are traveling to Key West can also hope to save some money by staying at a low-cost hostel. Either way, freeing up funds for such other things as fishing excursions and nights out on the town is likely to be the name of the game. Also, since Key West isn’t the kind of destination where travelers tend to spend tons of time in their hotel or motel rooms, it can be a waste of money to secure more expensive accommodations with all the bells and whistles.

The various motels that are found on Key West include both chain brand motels and motels that are not affiliated with a big name chain. Examples of chain brand options include the Days Inn Key West and the Quality Inn Key West. Both of these motels are found along N. Roosevelt Blvd. and are within walking distance of beaches, shops, restaurants, and local attractions. For those who are interested in chain brand Key West motels that are found in town, it can be a good idea to consider the Best Western Hibiscus Motel. It sits at 1313 Simonton Street and is just one block from the main street in Old Town Key West—Duval Street. As for the non-chain motels in Key West, there are several to select from. Most are found in town near Duval Street, as is the case with the Blue Marlin Motel, the Spindrift Motel, and the Southwind Motel.

Key West Hostels

Key West isn’t exactly awash in hostels. In fact, this southernmost island in the Florida Keys is only home to one hostel. This hostel is known as the Key West Youth Hostel at the Sea Shell Motel. Found within walking distance of Duval Street and just a few blocks from the beach, the Key West Youth Hostel at the Sea Shell Motel enjoys a great location. General facilities include a large outdoor common area, a small kitchen, and a barbecue area. Other features include air conditioning, hot showers, laundry facilities, a lounge area, free bedsheets, free parking, and free Wi-Fi. Both simple dorm rooms and more expensive motel rooms are available at the Key West Youth Hostel at the Sea Shell Motel, so guests can choose accordingly. It should be noted that Key West is a relatively expensive destination on the whole. Thus, the Key West motels and the lone Key West hostel are pricier than your average motel or hostel.
