From the 600-square-foot hotel rooms to the three-bedroom ocean-view suites, all of the accommodations at the Acqualina resort are second to none. The smallest rooms still have plenty of luxuries, including whirlpool tubs, marble floors and flat-screen TVs. The hotel rooms face west over the city’s main thoroughfare rather than overlooking the water. Each has a king-size bed and an place to sit down. Even the resort’s standard suites are nothing but ordinary. With 1,010 square feet (1,189 if you add in the terrace), each room overlooks the ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway. With a king-sized bed, entertainment center with a flat-screen TV and a sitting area, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to relax. Each room has a terrace for even more private space to call your own. If you’re traveling with your family or simply require a lot of space, the bigger suites will ensure everyone has much more than room to stretch out. The largest suites feature nearly 2,400 square feet of space, complete with a kitchen fit for a chef and three separate bedrooms.

Top-notch service ensures everyone has everything they need to enjoy time at the pool. For those who wish to take it to the next level, the cabana rentals provide ever more amenities and upgraded personalized service. Of course there’s the beach—the concierge can help you with equipment rentals for personal watercraft and other water sports to enjoy here. The resort is also home to a fitness center and gift shop. For younger visitors, the AcquaMarine Program ensures they’re having fun during their stay while mom and dad can enjoy some fun on their own. When you’re not enjoying the hot food scene down in Miami Beach or cooking in your suite, you have some options for dining at the resort. The Coasta Grill is open daily for lunch, while the Beachfront Grill Nights takes over the night shift from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. any day of the week. The resort bar serves cocktails, small plates and sushi in between 3 p.m. and 11. If you’d like to eat outside of these hours or in private, room service is always available. One of the finest restaurants in Sunny Isles Beach is Acqualina’s Il Mulino New York. The Italian restaurant’s Florida outpost serves fine wines, the freshest seafood and other dishes all in an energetic and upscale atmosphere. The restaurant also oversees breakfast, served in the Aria Lounge, and the other two meals on the veranda.

As with most good Florida beach resorts, the property boasts a spa. Simply called ESPA at Acqualina, the resort’s spa provides relaxation in view of the ocean. The 20,000 square feet of the spa are located within a two-story building overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Many guests are treated to a foot massage while the therapist establishes what the guest would like. Each experience is customized from a combination of time-tested and modern spa treatments and skin treatments designed to heal as well as relax. ESPA uses spa products crafted from organically grown plants and aromatherapy products. In addition to the treatments, the spa offers a sauna and steam room as well as locker rooms and relaxation lounges both for men and women. The outdoor veranda is home to some spa pools, another opportunity to relax while enjoying the ocean views.
