New Port Richey Florida

Just up the Gulf Coast from Tarpon Springs is where you will find the Pasco County city of New Port Richey. Largely a residential community, this city boasts an attractive historic downtown district and proximity to some of the best Florida beaches. Notable beach destinations close by to the south include Clearwater, St. Pete Beach and Fort De Soto Park. Visitors to the area can also indulge in the the James E. Grey Preserve, which is just east of New Port Richey and features picnic shelters, a boardwalk along the river and a dock to launch canoes, kayaks and other self-propelled watercraft. Other area parks and the location of New Port Richey near Tampa only open up more opportunities for things to do, making the general region a great destination for rewarding Florida vacations.
