Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is an addition to the resort specifically for Disney Club Vacation Members. Curvilinear and whitewashed, the modernist architectural building is another feature within the ultra-modern resort. Situated directly on the bay, the Bay Tower is adjacent to tennis courts and swimming pools along with a small marina. The building emulates the strong, modern feel of the main building, with a similar color scheme and solid, horizontal lines. The rooftop lounge is also strong feature offering fantastic scenery of the overall resort. Five nearby golf courses, resort shopping, and the Olympia Fitness Center are additional amenities. Topping it all off is the availability of child care services that include child care in your room or a specialist to accompany families when visiting Disney World.

The Bay Lake Tower has studios with views of the lake, park, pool, or courtyard. Deluxe Studios accommodate four guests with a two beds, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge, a wet bar, a coffee maker, and a microwave making light meals and snacks an easy venture. Disney programs are available on the flat-panel television or bring along some DVDs and pop them into the player. Guests can also access the Internet for a small fee. With views of Bay Lake or the Magic Kingdom, a private patio or balcony becomes especially appealing. Voicemail, toddler playpens, an ironing board, and an eating area are more amenities included with studios.


One-, two-, and three-bedroom villas sleep up to four, nine, and twelve guests respectively. Each have full kitchens with stoves, dishwashers, and all dinnerware for family dining. There are baths with stacked laundry appliances available in two- and three-bedroom villas. Rich woods, glass panels, and custom furniture are found throughout. All units at the Bay Lake Tower are within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom and guests can take advantage of the resort’s recreational line up, courtyards, pools, restaurants, and other facilities.


Bay Cove Pool is the large swimming pool offered exclusively to Bay Lake Tower guests. Zero-entry makes getting in and out with kids completely hassle-free but the best feature is the 148-foot, 20-foot-high waterslide. The water play area by the pool is an interactive feature spraying and soaking kids. The Cove Bar is conveniently placed nearby and change rooms and lockers offer convenience during swim time. The Bay Lake Pool has a shallow and deep end and is considered a quiet pool while the lively pool environment by the resort’s main pool, with a curving, 17-foot-long slide is also accessible. The Bay Lake Pool is also adjacent to the lake where a white-sand beach is available for many types of recreation. Parasailing and waterskiing are offered at the marina on the lake in addition to the many nearby Disney World attractions. There are also sailboats, personal watercrafts, pontoon boats, and canopy boats for rent.


At the sixteenth floor is the famous Top of the World Lounge, offering breathtaking views to go hand in hand with cocktails and light meals inside the private lounge. There is a buffet restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, a grill, a café, and a California-style grill. In addition there are three lounges at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort serving a variety of light meals, snacks, appetizers, and desserts.
