The various theme parks in Orlando always have something going on, and Epcot Center is no exception. From the daily concerts at Epcot Center to the special year-round events, you will have no problem keeping busy. On top of hosting some great annual events, Epcot Center also boasts plenty of great rides, a slew of fantastic dining venues, and some nice shopping opportunities, so you might require more than just one day to enjoy everything. If you plan to visit Epcot Center during your Orlando vacation, checking out the events schedule beforehand is always a great idea. You might even plan your trip around one of the special Epcot Events if they pique your interest.

Epcot Center dining is always a joy, as you can experience flavors from around the world, but if you really like food, you might try to align your visit with the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. For more than a decade, the Epcot Food and Wine Festival has been one of the top culinary events in Orlando. The various country pavilions at Epcot Center feature regional foods during the festival, not to mention regional wines and beers, so you can virtually take a culinary world tour. When you're not enjoying the various food offerings during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, you can try to attend one of the many special cooking demonstrations to learn something new. Once you've gotten your fill of good food and wine, you might end a day at the festival by heading to the open-air stage to enjoy a live concert. In addition to the marketplace food stalls, those who want to treat themselves to a special dining experience can also attend one of the special festival dinners, which are overseen by some of Disney's top chefs. The Epcot Food and Wine Festival spans the course of two weeks and begins at the end of September. Your general admission Epcot tickets will get you into the festival, though you will have to pay for most of what you choose to sample. The special nighttime dinners also cost extra.

There are a many interesting shows that take place on a daily basis at Epcot Center, so you can add those to your list of Epcot events. The various pavilion concerts at Epcot Center highlight various cultures from around the world. At the Canadian Pavilion, you can catch a live Celtic band, while at the American Pavilion, you can see a troop of musicians playing American Revolution-era classics. In addition to the cultural concerts at the various pavilions, summertime visitors can also hope to catch one of the Epcot tribute concerts. The Sounds Like Summer Concert Series at Epcot runs from early June to early August, and it features cover bands that honor some of the most recognizable musicians and music groups of our time. Groups like the Supremes, U2, the Bee Gees, and ABBA are honored during the summertime concerts at Epcot Center. These concerts run multiple times a night on set days, so you will have plenty of opportunities to see one.

While summertime is one of the top tourist seasons in Orlando, so too is wintertime. This is especially true during the holiday season. The Epcot Christmas festival, which is titled Holidays Around the World, delights guests from late November to late December. Special fireworks and illuminating candlelight processionals are just some of the things that characterize the Epcot Christmas festivities. At the American Pavilion, you can visit Santa's Village, and if you like shopping, the World Showcase has tons of great holiday gifts that you can peruse during the Christmas festival. Christmas characters from around the world are featured during the Epcot Christmas festivities, and you can even listen to storytellers who tell tales of various Christmas customs from abroad. For those on romantic getaways to Orlando, booking a special Epcot Christmas dining package is always a good idea. These packages include a romantic dinner for two and tickets for the nightly Candlelight Processional.

Another one of the top Epcot events that you can hope to attend is the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Running from mid-March to the end of May, this long festival highlights flowers from around the world. It also includes informative demonstrations from expert gardeners, not to mention nighttime concerts that revolve around music from the 60s and 70s. It's all about flower power at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, and if you even remotely like gardening, you will love this event.
