SeaWorld Orlando Attractions

Sea World attractions are like nothing else found on land. Without strapping on a snorkel, you’ll have the chance to explore the ocean, meet the animals who live there and have a lot of fun along the way when you visit. This is one of the most popular family attractions in Orlando, and many families planning a Disney vacation find themselves heading to SeaWorld as well.

Like any good theme park, SeaWorld packs in the fun. It’s a good thing that SeaWorld tickets are good for two days, since there’s so much to pack into a visit. When you’re not looking for thrills on a roller coaster, you could take in a show or stop for a gourmet lunch. Or how about a visit to the penguin enclosure or a visit to the sea lion’s home? When you add in special tours, great shopping and a full schedule of special events, SeaWorld has something to keep everyone entertained.

Roller coasters are a specialty of theme parks, and you won’t miss them at SeaWorld. Tales of the Kraken have scared sailors for centuries, and this steel coaster continues to spook as much as thrills. A ride on the Manta may just feel like you’re flying. The Shamu Express is a roller coaster, too, but its thrills are more family-friendly. The Skytower is a great way to soak in the views of the parks, and the paddleboats—in the shape of flamingos—are another great way to enjoy the scenery.

When the weather is hot, it’s time for a Journey to Atlantis. This flume ride/coaster combination swishes past mysterious cities before splashing into the water below. Other rides throughout the park will be sure to delight visitors of all ages, even the mild at heart.

Killer whale shows may be what put SeaWorld on the map, but they’re just the beginning of the live entertainment at this popular Orlando attraction. Throughout the day, audiences gather for shows that combines animals, music and plenty of theatricals to create something you’ll can’t find anywhere else. Families will especially enjoy the productions that feature the characters from Sesame Street. Cookie Monster, Elmo and the other characters will dance their way into your heart.

As expected, animal shows are another favorite. A new Shamu showed premiered relatively recently, while others feature a sea lion named Clyde, and even talented dogs take to the stage in some totally delightful shows. The Blue Horizons show shares the tale of an imaginative young lady near Marina. The show features acrobatic features and delightful music. The acrobatics of A’Lure, the Call of the Ocean, seem to defy gravity.

When you’re purchasing SeaWorld tickets, you have a lot of choices for special tours. Animal-lovers will especially enjoy the encounter tours that bring them nose-to-beak with a penguin or up close to a friendly beluga whale. You can also make reservations for exclusive access to the dolphins and sea lions. For those who are dreaming about working with animals when they grow up, one of the keeper programs will be sure to delight. Anyone who books this tour, which is available for age 13 and up, gets to speed time with a marine animal keeper and see what goes into their work.

The VIP tours, another option, give a whole new insight into the SeaWorld attractions. You’ll enjoy front-of-the-line access, along with dining privilege, reserved seats the shows and a guided tour. The behind-the-scenes tour will take you deeper into wonders of SeaWorld than you’re able to find on your own. All of packages include admission to the park and require advanced arrangements.
