Disney’s Wilderness Lodge offers an experience guests might have when visiting a lodge within one of the great national parks of America during the twentieth century. Everything related to the Great Outdoors is found inside this Disney resort, from the smallest details to recreation and architecture. The inspiration behind the lodge came full circle, exhibiting one of the most popular Disney themes filled with painstaking craftsmanship. Two intricately carved, 55-foot totem poles are the main features in the lobby, showcasing several animals within the design. There is also a massive fireplace in the lobby, the main hub for guests of the 727-room resort where nature and wildlife take first place. Native American culture is celebrated throughout as well, with many authentic artifacts and decor paying homage to American history. There is a white-sand beach skirting Bay Lake for swimming, sunning, and water sports. A kid-friendly play space and playground, onsite geyser, elevated walking paths, and short-term Disney cruises are available to guests.
Rooms at the Disney Wilderness Resort are either Standard, Standard with Club Level service, or Deluxe with Club Level service with a sitting room featuring French doors, designed for four guests, and appointed with amenities such as high-speed Internet connection, voicemail, and refrigerators. A small table and chairs set, double vanity, and private balcony are other convenience enjoyed during Disney vacations. Several views are available including courtyard and woodlands, enhancing the experience of a stay in the lodge. Club Level rooms are in a specific resort location, offering access to the lounge that serves daily refreshments between certain times. Guests with Club Level service also enjoy a daily newspaper and pass to the Health Club.
The suites at Disney’s Wilderness lodge include Honeymoon, Vice Presidential, and Presidential quarters. Marble counter tops, fully equipped kitchenettes, dining areas, and more create a pronounced design with many exclusive adornments and plenty of convenience. Guests of Vice Presidential and Presidential suites at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge enjoy privileges at the Old Faithful Lounge, a private area where continental breakfasts, refreshments, and drinks are served. All concierge-designated rooms are assigned a member of the concierge team. The services provided include obtaining Disney World tickets, show tickets, dinner reservations, and more. Planning for Disney vacations and special guided tours are also complimentary at this level.
The villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are part of a multi-story tower joined to the lodge’s main lobby. Villas are full-service and encompass large living areas that have family rooms, kitchens or kitchenettes, and many extra amenities.
Disney hotels and resorts have a variety of specific dining types, from quick-stop fare to full-service, upscale restaurants. At the Disney Wilderness Resort, all guests enjoy four options providing a diverse array of menu choices. A family-style restaurant with a western theme has barbeque choices on an all-you-can-eat menu. A quick-service dining option pairs with the arcade where breakfast, lunch, and snacks are offered near the main pool. Dining in the signature restaurant, guests will enjoy a rustic, Pacific Northwest theme without sacrificing a bit of comfort. Steaks, game, and seafood are menu highlights. A casual lounge finishes dining choices at the Disney Wilderness Resort, with a lively atmosphere and light foods.
