Gulf Breeze Florida

Gulf Breeze Florida is one of the most popular destinations that can be found in the northwestern part of the state. A suburb of Pensacola, this small city enjoys proximity to some of the best beaches in the area, but that's not the only thing to like. Since Gulf Breeze is almost completely surrounded by water, things to do such as boating and snorkeling are among the top activities, though there is plenty to enjoy on dry land as well.
Two things that help to make Gulf Breeze Florida such a fine place to go on vacation are its location and the amount of sunshine that it gets. The city enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine on an average annual basis, and this means plenty of opportunities for sunbathing and swimming. The renowned Emerald Coast beaches are within easy reach of Gulf Breeze, and you can find beaches closer to the city core if you want to give them a look.
Gulf Breeze sits on the shores of Pensacola Bay and the Santa Rosa Sound, and there are small beaches found here and there. As for getting to beaches that are found along the Gulf of Mexico, it's just a short drive from Gulf Breeze to Pensacola Beach. The Bob Sikes Bridge, which is also known as the Pensacola Beach Bridge, connects Gulf Breeze to Pensacola Beach. Coincidentally, another bridge that spans the Pensacola Sound connects Gulf Breeze to Pensacola proper. It is known as the Pensacola Bay Bridge.
Pensacola boating can be a real treat, and this has a lot to do with destinations such as Gulf Breeze. In this sunny suburb, boat owners will find numerous launch areas, including those that are found at Wayside Park and Oriole Beach. For people who don’t own boats and those who might not know how to sail, rental crafts are available, as are sailing lessons. You can also arrange kayaking and surfing lessons in Gulf Breeze, and it won't be difficult to book a deep-sea fishing excursion if that's what you have in mind. Anglers will be happy to know that Gulf Breeze is a great fishing destination. There are a few fishing piers to take advantage of when you're not out on the water, and you don't need a fishing license to cast your lines off of them.
Some 40 golf courses can be found within a 100 mile radius of Gulf Breeze, so you can add golfing to the mix when planning a visit. The championship-caliber Perdido Bay Golf Course, located at 1 Doug Ford Drive in Pensacola, is among the best in the more immediate area. When visiting Gulf Breeze, you might also look to make time for the local zoo. More than 900 animals call the Gulf Breeze Zoo home, and they hail from all over the world. The facility covers approximately 50 acres, and great attempts are made to provide the various creatures with native habitats. 5701 Gulf Breeze Parkway is where you can find the Gulf Breeze Zoo, and it is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine.
Getting bored in Gulf Breeze Florida is next to impossible, especially when you consider all the great attractions that can be found close by. It takes mere minutes to get from town to Casino Beach, for example, and cultural enthusiasts can get to any number of great Pensacola museums in virtually no time at all.
As for finding a place to stay in town, there aren't exactly a lot of Gulf Breeze hotels to choose from. In fact, only two lodging establishments call Gulf Breeze home, and they are the Bay Beach Inn and the Gulf Coast Inn Motel. Both are worth keeping in mind for anyone who is interested in cheap Pensacola hotels, with the Gulf Coast Inn Motel being the cheaper of the two. In fact, the Gulf Coast Inn Motel hails itself as the cheapest motel in the area.
