Navarre Florida

Navarre Florida is a destination that can satisfy a wide range of people. For starters, this city near Pensacola offers proximity to spectacular beaches, and since there is water all around, activities such as boating and kayaking can be enjoyed when you're not swimming and sunbathing. A revamped pier provides even more recreational opportunities, and it only gets better when you consider all the wonderful things to do that there in the general area.

Navaree Florida is approximately 25 miles west of Pensacola, and the Santa Rosa Sound is all that separates it from Santa Rosa Island. A toll bridge connects the city to its island suburb of sorts, Navarre Beach. At this beach town on the Gulf of Mexico, surfing and playing sand volleyball are popular. Due east of Navarre Beach is the Navarre Beach Park. It has full camping facilities if you wish to take advantage, not to mention some excellent beaches. Other amenities at this park include picnic areas and concessions, and visitors should find the fishing, birding, biking, and hiking possibilities to be satisfying.

If you like to fish and you are planning on visiting Navarre Beach, the pier can be a great place to cast your lines. The Navarre Beach Fishing Pier one of the longest piers on the Gulf of Mexico, and if you need bait and tackle it is available. Other visitors can stroll along the long pier and savor its wonderful Gulf views. Sunset is an especially good time for such a stroll. The address for the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier is 8579 Gulf Boulevard. You don't need a license to fish off the pier, and while fees apply, they are more than reasonable. As a side note, those who prefer getting out on the water when it comes to fishing will find that deep sea charters can easily be arranged at any number of area marinas.

One of the Navarre attractions that is largely responsible for drawing in families is the Nature Walk of Navarre. This boardwalk along the Santa Rosa Sound passes picnic areas, a butterfly house, a fishpond, and playgrounds. There are also fountains for the kids to play in, which is especially divine on very hot days. You can find Nature Walk of Navarre on Highway 98 near the foot of the toll bridge to Navarre Beach.

Whatever your interests, finding something fun to do in and around Navarre Florida shouldn't be difficult. The city offers a lot of variety when it comes to shopping and dining, and it doesn't take long to get to area attractions such as the National Museum of Naval Aviation or Fort Pickens.

When planning your Navarre Florida visit, considering the area attractions isn't the only thing that is recommended. There are also a number of great annual events in Pensacola and the surrounding communities. In Navarre, the most renowned events include the Taste of Navarre and the summer Concerts in the Park series. The Taste of Navarre highlights local restaurants and catering businesses and is held in Navarre Park in September. The Concerts in the Park series is also held at Navarre Park (Hwy 98 at foot of Navarre Beach Bridge), and it takes place on Thursday nights throughout the summer.

Navarre can make an excellent travel base when visiting Florida's sunny Emerald Coast area. This is especially true for travelers who have value in mind when it comes to lodging. The Navarre Florida hotels are well-priced chain. Among them is the Best Western Navarre Waterfront, which is situated on Highway 98 and overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway.
