The Pensacola clubs and bars are known for getting lively, especially during the peak May to October season. This doesn't mean that you can't find quiet places where you can have a drink before you turn in for the night, and if you prefer the performing arts when it comes to going out on the town, there are options there as well. There is pretty much something for all tastes and preferences when it comes to the nightlife scene in Pensacola.
If you are hanging out in Downtown Pensacola and want to enjoy some nighttime fun, the Seville Quarter is the place to go. This historic district is home to Seville Quarter, which is a hopping complex that features a mix of bars, clubs, and restaurants. Live entertainment is offered with regularity at many of the Seville Quarter establishments, and you certainly won't have trouble finding something good to eat or drink. The Seville Quarter is open every day from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The address is 130 East Government Street, and you can drop by and visit the information booth if you want to find out what's on tap during your stint in town.
More great Pensacola bars and clubs can be found in the Santa Rosa Island hangout of Pensacola Beach. Quietwater Boardwalk, which follows along the Santa Rosa Sound side, is a complex that features a variety of shopping and dining options. You'll also find some nightlife establishments, and they offer atmospheres to fit a wide range of preferences. Over on the Gulf of Mexico side, you can find some more bars and clubs, with the Casino Beach area being home to a healthy collection.
Downtown Pensacola's Seville Quarter and the small beach town that is Pensacola Beach are the best places to go for some Pensacola nightlife. You don't have to limit yourself to these options, however. Over on the island of Perdido Key, you will find the legendary Flora-Bama Lounge, which dubs itself as the Last Great American Road House, and there are other bars and restaurants to take advantage of. You can also keep an eye out for restaurants and bars in other area destinations, such as Milton and Navarre. These other destinations might not be nightlife hotspots, but they offer enough to keep you entertained during the evening hours.
Should the performing arts be what you have in mind when trying to come up with some Pensacola nightlife ideas, you will be happy to know that the options are good. The Civic Center and Saenger Theatre, which is found downtown at 201 East Gregory Street, is the most renowned performing arts venues in the land. You can pick up an events calender for the Civic Center and a more comprehensive Pensacola entertainment publication called Vision at the city's main visitor center. 1401 East Gregory Street is where this visitor center is located.
