Pleasure Island

Pleasure Island
Animal Kingdom Park | Block Party Bash | Disney Blizzard Beach | DisneyQuest | Disney High School Musical | Disney Hollywood Studios | Disney MGM Studios | Epcot Center | Magic Kingdom Park | Playhouse Disney Live | Pleasure Island | Toy Story Mania

Pleasure Island is actually named after its founder, Merriweather Pleasure, and coincidentally, the amount of fun you will have here gives extra credence to the park’s label.  Disney Pleasure Island fun involves nighttime hijinks at one of the unique dance clubs or side-splitting affairs at one of the comedy clubs.  And every night feels like the Fourth of July at Pleasure Island in Orlando, as nightly pyrotechnic displays usher in another exciting night with some extra pizzaz.  As the Orlando theme parks wrap it up for the day, visitors can make a side trip to Pleasure Island for some nightlife before heading back to their Orlando hotels and nearby Kissimmee hotels.  Disney Pleasure Island is included as an option on the Disney Multi-Day Park Hopper Plus Pass, where you can maximize your Disney theme park experience with some economic incentive.

If you love those retro dance classics from the 70's and 80's, then head to 8 Trax to dance the night away to some era-defying hits.  Try your Saturday Night Fever moves out to some disco music, and get your YMCA on.  For a two-story affair featuring the latest hip-hop grooves and old-school R&B joints, make your way and bust a move at the BET Soundstage Club.  As you bounce to the DJ’s repertoire, make sure to glance up at the video screens every once and a while to see if your image is on display.

For more Pleasure Island Orlando dancing dynamics at, move your body to the pulsating techno-trance vibes at Mannequins Dance Palace.  Flashing lights and a rotating dance floor characterize this nightclub.  For a fresh spin featuring today’s Top 40 favorites, shuffle towards Motion.  Here, you’ll find a giant screen showcasing videos to each current song.  For a taste of some live music entertainment at Pleasure Island Orlando, catch a band on select evenings at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Beach Club.  The music found at this beach party nightclub showcases both classic and current hits.

If it’s laughs you’re looking for, then take in a comedic performance at either the Adventurer’s Club, or The Comedy Warehouse.  At The Comedy Warehouse, the improv-laden affair claims to rattle the tin-roof with laughter and comics take an amusing stab at the whole Disney experience.  The Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island in Orlando engages the audience through participation with talking masks and wild explorer’s tales.  Join in the fun as everybody is encouraged to yell out with the occasional rally cry of “Kungaloosh!”.

While enjoying your fun-filled Disney Pleasure Island night out, choose from an array of dining options in Downtown Disney that range from high-class eats to fast food treats.  Downtown Disney also features some great shopping, including World of Disney, the ultimate interactive family shopping experience.

Make sure you bring a picture ID to get into the nightclubs at Pleasure Island in Orlando, and for the comedy clubs, those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older.  All the Pleasure Island clubs are non-smoking, and admission to Pleasure Island is free before 7 p.m., but when the fun begins after 7, visitors are required to pay $20.95 for entry into the clubs.  At the Comedy Warehouse the shows fill up fast, so it’s a good idea to get in line early.  With the aforementioned Disney Multi-Day Park Hopper Pass, enjoy other Walt Disney World Resort parks like Epcot Center, Magic Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, Blizzard Beach and DisneyQuest before rounding out the night at Pleasure Island.
