Port Everglades Parking
Port Everglades Car Rental | Port Everglades Cruises | Port Everglades Hotels | Port Everglades Shuttles | Port Everglades

If you're taking a Florida cruise, chances are you're departing from Port Everglades cruise terminal, one of the largest cruise port terminals in the United States. This popular cruise ship terminal is located in Fort Lauderdale, minutes from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and miles of beaches and shopping areas. Many people decide to travel to Port Everglades Florida days before their cruise departs in order to enjoy Florida beaches and attractions. If you're headed to Port Everglades before your cruise departs and need a car rental or other transportation, you're in luck. There are several options for Port Everglades car rental and Port Everglades transportation.

All car rental firms in Port Everglades FL are based at the neighboring Fort Lauderdale airport. Some of the options available for Port Everglades car rental include well-known national rental car companies as well as lesser-known local companies.  Most car rental companies provide a complimentary shuttle from Port Everglades to the car rental center at the airport.

If you're not interested in renting a car, another option for transportation is a taxi. If you're headed straight to the Port Everglades terminal from the airport, a taxi trip costs around ten dollars. You can also take a taxi from the airport to anywhere in Fort Lauderdale. Visitors can expect to pay around twenty dollars for a taxi to downtown Fort Lauderdale. Another option for Port Everglades transportation are the shuttle services in town. Most major cruise lines offer a complimentary shuttle to Port Everglades from the airport. Cruise passengers who purchase a package that includes lodging are usually offered complimentary transportation from their Port Everglades hotel to the port. It's a good idea to check with your cruise company to see what kind of Port Everglades transportation options they offer.

Port Everglades parking is convenient and readily available. The port has two parking garages. One is located near terminals 1, 2, and 4, while the other Port Everglades parking garage is located near termainals 18 and 19. The most convenient Port Everglades parking garage depends on what terminal your cruise is departing from. The parking garages are patrolled by security guards and are well lit. Long-term parking at Port Everglades can be costly. An offsite parking lot offers cheaper parking and a Port Everglades shuttle that will bring you to your cruise ship terminal.

Although the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is less than two miles from the cruise ship port, it's suggested that visitors leave at least an hour of transfer time from when their flights arrive at the airport and the time that their cruises depart. It takes some time to claim your luggage and check in at the cruise terminal. Whether you're flying into the airport the day before your cruise and want the convenience of a Port Everglades car rental, or you're driving to Port Everglades from elsewhere, Port Everglades transportation is easy, convenient, and affordable.
