Punta Gorda Florida

Punta Gorda Florida welcomes visitors with its charming historic downtown district perched right on the shore of pristine Charlotte Harbor. Waterfront dining and shopping are among the things that attract visitors to this Gulf Coast community, and it is also known for its boating and fishing. Much of the action centers around the part of town known as Fisherman’s Village, where there are shops, restaurants, a museum of military heritage, a marina, and luxury villas. Other ideas for things to do in Punta Gorda include visiting the A.C. Freeman House, which features a museum of local history, exploring the nearby Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park, and enjoying day trips to the area beaches. Interstate 75 runs right past Punta Gorda and provides an excellent means by which to move up and down the coast.
