Redington Beach

Found on Florida's Suncoast in Pinellas County, Redington Beach is an excellent destination for anyone who has fun in the sun in mind for their next getaway. Resting on a barrier island, this small residential community fronts the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other. To the north is the town of North Redington Beach, while Madeira Beach lies to the south. What Redington Beach lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. The town is only about one square mile in size, but packed within that square mile are six public beach access points and four town parks. A large playground helps to make Redington Beach a great place for family vacations, as does the community recreation area, which boasts basketball and tennis courts.

Redington Beach is a relatively short drive from the larger regional cities of St Petersburg and Tampa, so when you're not relaxing on the soft, white sand beaches here, you can look to enjoy some urban exposure. You might not want to venture into the nearby cities, however, as the Redington Shores area offers everything that you'll likely need. The restaurants in Redington Beach offer something for everyone, whether you have fast food in mind or an upscale dining experience. There are also some good bars to choose from if you're up for a little nightlife. As for places to stay, there are plenty of options in town, not to mention in North Redington Beach, so you shouldn't have trouble finding your ideal accommodations.

In addition to the Redington Beach hotels, those who are looking to stay in town will also want to consider the vacation rentals. Most of the vacation rentals in the Redington Shores area are condo rentals that are either on the beach or close to it. In addition to great locations, the vacation rentals here tend to also offer a most satisfying array of amenities, including private laundry facilities and fully equipped kitchens. Families will especially want to consider the Redington Beach vacation rentals, as they offer a home away from home experience that is hard to beat.

The miles of beaches between Redington Beach and North Redington Beach are beautiful, and thanks to their size, those who come to enjoy them will have plenty of room to spread out. The clear, blue waters that meet the sand at the beaches in Redington Beach are usually calm, allowing for good swimming conditions. The region in general enjoys lots of sunshine, so you can always work on your tan when relaxing at the beach. When visiting the beaches in Redington Beach, those who are driving might prefer the access point at the end of 160th Avenue, as it boasts a good beach parking lot. A cheap trolley moves up and down the Suncoast, and you can rely on it as well to get around, especially if you want to visit some of the other area beach communities. Nearby Madeira Beach is home to John's Pass Village, which deserves a look when in the area, and you can book different kinds of boating tours up and down the coast.

There's always something fun to do on a Redington Beach vacation, thanks in part to the wealth of terrific destinations in the region. Many people visiting the area look to base themselves here, and for good reason. The beaches in Redington Beach are lovely, and you don't have to deal with the crowds and bustle that comes with staying in a larger city. The primarily residential nature of Redington Beach and North Redington Beach lends to the relaxed way of life, and you could hardly ask for anything more when it's a low stress Florida getaway that you have in mind.
