Tampa Nightlife

Visitors to this lively city will not be disappointed when it comes to finding an active and vibrant Tampa nightlife. From a variety of bars in Tampa to some of the hottest clubs in the area, there are plenty of venues located in all areas of the city. The areas with the best concentration of Tampa nightlife are Ybor City, Channelside, SoHo, Courtney Campbell Causeway, Davis Island, Carrollwood, and the area around Tampa International Airport.

Ybor City has a history as an area with fine Spanish cuisine, excellent cigars, and a variety of unique Tampa clubs, from establishments such as the Lit Premium Cigar Lounge for cigar aficionados to a Goth atmosphere at The Castle and the Empire Nightclub. More clubs are available at the Channelside complex located near the downtown area. At Channelside, visitors will find fine dining as well as some of the best bars in Tampa, serving everything from domestic and imported brews to specialty cocktails.
The Channelside complex provides nice views from its location beside the water and has a convenient parking garage. In addition, all the venues here are within walking distance of one another, making it a convenient location for Tampa nightlife. And not only will visitors have a choice of bars and restaurants to choose from, Channelside is also home to the Velvet Room, one of the hottest dance clubs in Tampa Bay.
A short distance from Channelside is Harbour Island, where visitors can enjoy the views from the terrace overlooking the water and dance the night away at upscale Jackson's Bistro. And not far from the downtown area, the ever-popular SoHo area is another late-night hot spot featuring some of the best bars in Tampa along with excellent restaurants that have lounges, music, and dancing. By traveling down South Howard Avenue to Bayshore Boulevard and heading east, visitors can reach Davis Island. This exclusive island has been a long-standing area for Tampa nightlife and is filled with restaurants and bars.

Near the airport, visitors to Tampa will find the International Mall, which has restaurants and another popular dance club option, the Blue Martini. The Courtney Campbell Causeway, also just a short distance from the airport, connects Tampa to Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Along the causeway, there are many more establishments featuring bars, music, food, and dancing. Visitors heading towards the north Tampa, Westchase, and Carrollwood areas will find a variety of Tampa nightclubs, sports bars, lounges, pubs, and dance clubs many open until the early hours of the morning.
One of the best-known locations in Tampa is the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino known for round the clock casino action. Seminole Hard Rock not only has the gaming action, restaurants, and bars, it also has one of the premier Tampa clubs for late night dancing at Floyd's Nightclub, where the doors do not open until 11 pm, giving you plenty of time to try some of the Tampa restaurants or enjoy a dinner cruise before heading out for late-night entertainment.
