Tampa Shops

Shopping in Tampa is something that has been growing in popularity in recent years, thanks to a revitalization of sorts on the city's shopping front. Finding a good Tampa mall has become easier thanks to a collection of new shopping centers, and while historic Ybor City isn't as renowned as it once was when it comes to cigar production, you can still pick up some high-quality, hand-rolled stogies here. A range of tastes and preferences can be satisfied when it comes to the Tampa shops, which offer everything from souvenirs to exclusive outerwear. You can certainly shop until you drop here, so bringing along an empty suitcase on your Tampa vacation is something to consider.

The International Mall, which is a newer Tampa mall, has helped to draw attention to the city's shopping scene, as has the Channelside district, which is a prime entertainment hot spot. You can find the International Mall, which is also known as the International Plaza, near the Tampa International Airport, and in addition to some large department stores, it also offers some 200 smaller shops. Over toward Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, the University Mall is another option you can add to the itinerary. You'll find department stores here, as well as smaller shops, and there is also a movie theater and carousel. Other options when it comes to visiting a Tampa mall include the Westfield-Brandon Town Center Mall, which is among the area's premier shopping venues, and the Westfield-Citrus Park Town Center Mall, which is an impressive shopping, dining, and entertainment complex.

One of the hottest places to go shopping in Tampa is the Channelside district, which is fast becoming the city's top entertainment destination. In addition to a standard movie theater, you will also find an IMAX theater here, not to mention some alluring restaurants. One of the best things about Channelside is that is conveniently located near the Florida Aquarium, which is one of the city's best attractions. When you're not hanging out in Channelside, you might venture over to Ybor City, where the Centro Ybor area is home to some unique Tampa shops. Ybor City is also home to some restaurants and entertainment venues, and the nightlife is renowned, so there's plenty to do when you're not perusing the goods at the Centro Ybor stores.

Closer to the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, which is a short distance north of Tampa, you'll find the Shops at Wiregrass. This pedestrian-friendly village boasts a good mall, and its small parks are a good place to relax for a while when in the area. Shopping in Tampa can fill hours on end, thanks to all the options, and it's a wonderful way to pass the time when you're not out fishing, golfing, or enjoying any other number of fun Tampa activities. Don't forget about the Big Top Flea Market when looking for great places to go shopping in Tampa. Voted as the area's top flea market, the Big Top Flea Market offers an ideal complement to the other Tampa shops and shopping areas. The stores in Tampa Florida are numerous, and you never know what you might find at the Big Top Flea Market, so make room in your vacation budget for some shopping, and see what you can find.
