Airlines to Georgia

Most people planning to fly into Georgia will fly into Hartsfield International Airport, located in Atlanta. The enormous airport is a stopping point for almost every airline in the nation, and many flights land in and leave from this airport daily. In addition to a frequent flight to Atlanta, travelers will also find that connecting flights from the Atlanta airport to other cities within the state are widely available. Cheap flights to Atlanta are also available throughout the year.

The airline touting the most flight to Atlanta and, often times, the highest number of cheap flights to Atlanta is Delta. Delta is based at the Atlanta airport and makes frequent trips from the city. Since the airline makes so many trips to and from Atlanta, this is often an excellent airline to begin with when looking to book a flight to Atlanta. If you are most interested in cheap flights to Atlanta, Delta can be a good option if you are coming from another major city, as there are a high number of flights into the city.

In addition to the main airline of the Atlanta airport, there are of course plenty of additional airlines to choose from. Cheap airfares to Atlanta can also be located by booking your trip to Georgia well in advance, or even avoiding the summer season. As the summer is one of the more popular times to travel to Georgia and Atlanta in particular, prices will be high and cheap airfares to Atlanta will be more difficult to find. Additionally, it is always a good idea to check for competitive flight prices with multiple airlines. Search online or contact your travel agent directly.

After finding cheap airfares to Atlanta and arriving in the city, many travelers plan to spend time seeing the sights. Getting into the city or downtown area of Atlanta from the Atlanta airport is usually quite convenient. Many local hotels, particularly downtown and airport hotels, offer a free shuttle service between the hotel and the airport. If not, and you want to head straight into town to check out such sights as the World of Coca-Cola or the Georgia Aquarium, there are always a number of taxis waiting for guests outside the hotel. The Marta rail and bus service is also an excellent choice, and is one of the least expensive ways to make your way through the city of Atlanta.

Whichever airline you choose, and whichever city is your final Georgia destination, there are plenty of great airlines and price ranges to choose from. Connecting flights into Savannah and Columbus are available from Atlanta, or of course you may choose to fly directly into one of these cities.
