The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre opened on September 15, 2007, and cost $145 million to construct. It is an impressive structure architecturally that features an asymmetrical roof that winds upward. The interior provides the perfect ambiance for Broadway troupes and other professional performers, with broad murals, 600-pound glass and gold chandeliers, and a stunning grand ballroom. The venue is located northwest of Atlanta in the Cumberland/Galleria area. The main theater seats 2,750 people and was named for John A. Williams, a private donor to the project.

The Atlanta Opera puts on internationally renowned performances such as Porgy and Bess and La Boheme. Head into Midtown for high-end designer shopping or take the entire family to Zoo Atlanta or the Georgia Aquarium.
