Atlanta Nightlife

Atlanta nightlife is some of the most vibrant and exciting in the entire southern United States. Whereas Miami once held the mantle as the nightlife capital of the south, there would be plenty of people in Atlanta who would contend this designation nowadays. There are a wide variety of Atlanta bars, nightclubs, music venues, and restaurants, that altogether provide a diverse scene to suit just about anyone’s individual tastes. Some of the biggest draws of the city’s nightlife scene are the Atlanta night clubs. You will have a large selection to choose from in almost every part of town, from wild and crazy, multi-level hip-hop clubs where the beats are throbbing into the early morning hours, to more refined martini bars that double as clubs with dance floors as the night carries on.

In the Midtown area, you will find many such of the latter type of Atlanta night clubs. This is definitely one of the more sophisticated and affluent parts of town, nearby the central business district, and as such, clubs get a cross section of young people and businesspeople. Many of them cater to both crowds by offering a lavish and luxurious interior that also serves as a full-on dance club in the later hours. Several Atlanta night clubs in Midtown boast a South Beach Miami feel, candle lit terraces, and extensive martini lists. If you are interested in checking out some of the best night clubs in the city, you should look into the wide variety of excellent places in Midtown.

The Atlanta bars in areas like Buckhead offer a completely different, but just as enjoyable experience as those in the middle of downtown. Buckhead is a part of Atlanta just northwest of downtown that is home to much of the best Atlanta nightlife for the young hipster crowd. Whereas many of the Atlanta clubs in the downtown area are dedicated to hip-hop music, you have a better chance of finding some alternatives in outlying areas of the city. The rich culture of hip-hop music has made Atlanta a bastion for this particular kind of music, so it is not surprising that many of the city’s clubs and music venues cater to it. Many people do however think that this is the only kind of music to be found anywhere in Atlanta, and this is simply not the case. The metropolitan area is far too large and diverse to only include one kind of music. There are longstanding bars and clubs in the Buckhead area that feature 1970s and 1980s dance parties, complete with disco ball and lights. There are also rock and roll clubs that feature local and regional emerging talent. When it comes to Atlanta nightlife, there is no one kind of thing to do. Rather, you will find at your disposal a wide range of activities and attractions. And it is good to keep in mind that there is far more than just Atlanta bars and clubs to keep you busy.

Another option is to look into Atlanta free nights at local theaters that many times offer free opera and symphonic performances. When it comes to Atlanta nightlife, there is also an excellent selection of cinemas, cafes, restaurants for the earlier birds.
