Augusta Hotels

There are plenty of options for Augusta lodging in and around the downtown area and within walking or short driving distance of all the city's attractions. Whether you prefer a stay in one of the historic Augusta hotels, or are seeking out cheap accommodations in Augusta, there is an option to suit every budget and desired experience.

Of all the higher-end Augusta hotels, the Partridge Inn (pictured) is the most historic and offers a very comfortable southern atmosphere. The Partridge Inn is newly renovated and boasts a secluded outdoor pool where you can enjoy the warm Georgia weather in tranquility, a modern fitness center, and full-service dining at the Verandah Grill. It is located centrally to downtown, Route 20, and is within walking distance of all of the attractions in historic downtown Augusta.

The Azalea Inn also offers a decidedly historic environment. This Victorian inn dates back to 1895. It is just three blocks from the Riverwalk in Savannah. Classic decor and modern luxury meld together, as there are 21 suites, most with 11-foot ceilings, decorated with elaborate Victorian pieces, suited with Jacuzzis, and offering large beds with plush bedding.

When surveying Augusta lodging, many consider the Marriott Hotel and Suites to have the best location of all the Augusta hotels. The Marriott's rooms open onto the Savannah River and the historic Riverwalk. This particular hotel offers all of the modern amenities including an indoor and outdoor pool, restaurant, fitness center, sauna, room service, massage, and other spa treatments. The Marriott is also located conveniently close to other Augusta downtown attractions.

Just as its sister cities, Atlanta and Savannah, offer a range of lodging options to suit all budgets, there are also a number of options for cheap accommodations in Augusta. Augusta motels that are reasonably priced and offer nice amenities can be located around the city. The La Quinta Inn, Super 8, and Quality Inn are three examples of affordable, comfortable, clean Augusta motels.

For cheap accommodations in Augusta, it's hard to beat the La Quinta. It is located just a couple of minutes from the Golf Hall of Fame and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Georgia, Augusta National. The La Quinta offers outdoor pool, high-speed internet access, and free parking.

The Quality Inn has all of the same amenities in-room, and also has business center services in the lobby. It's an easy jaunt to downtown and other Augusta attractions as this is one of the Augusta motels that is located near Routes 10 and 20, and the Bobby Jones Expressway.

Prices of Augusta lodging vary according to the season, and spring and summer are the busiest times for tourist activity in the Augusta Georgia area. Late spring sees the arrival of the Masters Championship at Augusta National, and the warm climate and unbeatable golf attracts visitors throughout the summer and even into the fall. If you are booking your lodging in Augusta for these particular times of the year, try to do so well in advance of your departure to ensure reservations and reasonable pricing.
