Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff Resort

When a reasonably priced resort in the Kailua-Kona area is what you have in mind for your Big Island vacation, the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff Resort deserves a look. An attractive low-rise resort, the Royal Seacliff Resort rests on a lava-rock bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and the heart of Kailua-Kona Town is just one mile away when you want to enjoy all that it has to offer. Spacious apartment-style guest units that are relatively easy on the wallet help make the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff Resort an attractive lodging choice, and while these units are not the most luxurious on the island, they should provide you with everything you need, including a full kitchen and a washer and dryer.
Having your own kitchen and laundry facilities on a Big Island vacation is a huge bonus, especially as the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff Resort does not have its own restaurant. Preparing your own money-saving meals during your stay is a great idea, especially if you're looking to spend less on restaurant fare during your Big Island vacation and more on activities such as helicopter tours and trips to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
In addition to the fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, each guest unit at the Royal Seacliff Resort also features a private balcony, cable TV, air-conditioning, a private bathroom with both a shower and a tub, a telephone with data ports and voice mail services, an iron, and a radio alarm clock. For an extra fee, you can request an in-room safe for your valuables, as well as high-speed internet access. Cribs and hair dryers can also be requested, and they are complimentary. Both one-bedroom and two-bedroom units are available, so you can choose accordingly, and an ocean view or oceanfront unit is recommended if you have room in your budget.
Outside of the guest units at the Royal Seacliff Resort, two oceanfront swimming pools provide excellent places to enjoy a refreshing dip. Unfortunately, the lava-rock beach is not ideal for swimming, though you can always head to nearby Kahaluu Beach Park or plan day trips to other west side beaches such as Kaunaoa Beach and Hapuna Beach if you want to get your feet in the sand. When you're not relaxing poolside at the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff Resort, you can challenge a friend or family member to a tennis match on one of the complimentary courts. The activities desk at the Royal Seacliff Resort can help you find things to do during your stay, and you won't have trouble booking activities such as snorkeling cruises and deep-sea fishing charters in Kona Town.
The Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff Resort does not offer as many overall facilities as some other Big Island resorts, which is just fine for some travelers. There is enough to keep you busy here, and you won't mind the relative lack of facilities if you plan on exploring the Big Island rather than hanging around your hotel all day. When you're not out visiting Big Island attractions such as Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park, your spacious guest unit at the Royal Sea Cliff will be a good place to unwind, and the overall relaxed setting of the resort will keep you in the right frame of mind for your vacation. In addition, if this resort interests you, you might also consider the other Outrigger brand resorts on the island. They include the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort and the Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona.
