Hawaii Interisland Flights

During Hawaii holidays vacationers often choose to try a little island-hopping, a fun and exciting way to tour the Hawaiian islands. The fastest way to hop from isle to isle is to purchase Hawaii interisland flights. Add this to your budget flights to Hawaii and you’ll enjoy incredible rates and one of the most fulfilling ways to enjoy Hawaii tours. Hawaii interisland flights run on regular intervals between the main islands making it convenient for most tourists.

Most travelers like the fact that air travel in Hawaii is so relaxed, adhering to the true Aloha spirit. There is no frantic and hurried pace for most people catching a Hawaii interisland flight, only the excited anticipation of discovering the next island on their agenda. Infact, flying is so relaxed throughout Hawaii that plane tickets are available from automatic dispensing machines and even the local 7-Eleven shops! Time reservations aren’t always necessary as they are in most major airports. Many people just show up to their departure point and hop on a flight.

All of the Hawaiian islands are separated by a mere few miles so most flights don’t take much more than a half hour. The most popular and reputable airline is Hawaiian Airlines offering a fleet of Boeing planes to service clients. Convenient daily service operates to all of the six islands including Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Big Island, Molokai and Lanai. Planes leave about every half hour to and from several points. Regular Hawaii interisland flights leave from Oahu’s Honolulu Airport landing in Princeville and Lihue on Kauai. Another popular Hawaii interisland flight that operates daily is from Maui, from both Kapalua and Kahukui, to and from Keahole and Hilo on Big Island.

Finding a direct flight between Big Island and Kauai isn’t possible yet. There is also only the odd Hawaii interisland flight between Maui and Kauai. These flights stop over in Honolulu briefly. If you’re going between Maui and Kauai, consider stopping in Honolulu overnight or for a couple of days. There are plenty of exciting attractions and things to do in Oahu. A tour of Waikiki Beach is a must when in the area, if only via a short stroll. There are also many fun things to do in Honolulu. If you plan ahead, you can easily reserve one of the discount hotels Oahu has and head out both in the daytime and in the evening to enjoy excellent nightlife. A tour of Pearl Harbor is a popular activity with many visitors also opting to pay a visit to the Punchbowl Memorial between Hawaii interisland flights.

There are several ways to find budget flights to Hawaii. Hawaii vacation packages offer great discounts when bundling amenities. Searching for fares outside of peak seasons helps determine when to go at the cheapest times. Budget flights to Hawaii can also be found through last minute deals offered for Hawaii holidays. For those wishing to fly from one of the main Hawaiian islands to Lanai or Molokai, it’s important to know that this type of Hawaii interisland flight is irregular and harder to book. A better option might be to consider a Hawaii interisland cruise, where you’ll see many beautiful attractions between destinations as an added bonus.

With unlimited Hawaii interisland flights the ultimate in an island hopping adventure is possible. Some Hawaii airlines offer the “air pass,” a system designed to offer unlimited island travel for a predetermined period. Travelers can arrange unlimited reservations to any destination covered by the airline from which the pass was purchased. Island Air is one of the most popular choices. The “air pass” is costly to some but affords one of the most thrilling and adventurous ways to see the best of all the islands!
