Aqua Kauai Beach Resort

When you're looking for a good resort in Kauai Hawaii, the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort (formerly the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort) is worth a second glance. Located due north of Lihue on the road to Wailua, the oceanfront Aqua Kauai is far enough from the action in town without being too far away for an easy visit. When arriving on a flight to the Lihue Airport, it makes a convenient place to stay, and you might remain for a few days to enjoy everything it has to offer. Comfortable rooms filled with amenities await at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort, and guests are also just a few steps from the sand. Formerly the Kauai Beach Hotel and Resort, the Aqua Kauai has undergone recent renovations, and you're bound to be pleased with them should you book a stay here.

The Aqua Kauai Beach Resort rests on 25 acres of garden-filled grounds, and the private lagoon on Wailua Beach offers guests a quiet place to widdle the hours away. When you're not lounging on the long beach at the Aqua Kauai, you can always find a spot next to once of the resort's three main pools and relax for a while. As swimming is not recommended on the beach, the pools here come in handy, and there is a waterslide at one of them that both kids and adults will enjoy. After a long day of shopping, touring, or golf, relaxing in one of the Aqua's two hot tubs is a welcome proposition. Should you be looking to fit in a workout instead, the hotel also provides a small fitness center.

Complimentary shuttle service to and from the Lihue Airport is available to guests of the Aqua Kauai. Once you arrive at the resort, you might want to put your things down and relax for a moment, in which case the comfortable beds will be a welcome amenity. While the rooms and suites at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort aren't overly luxurious, they are cozy enough to satisfy most travelers. The suites offer an elevated level of elegance, so you can look to book one of them if you are interested in upgrading from one of the standard rooms. Daily maid service helps to keep the rooms and suites clean, and standard amenities include an in-room safe, cable TV, a mini-fridge, a private balcony, complimentary bath products, and free high-speed internet access. You'll also have access to basic amenities such as a coffee maker, hair dryer, and iron and ironing board, which adds to the overall convenience of the experience.

Although the Aqua Kauai is relatively isolated, the resort offers a few different dining options. When it's drinks, appetizers, or a light dinner that you have in mind, Shutter's Lounge is a good place to visit, and it's open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., the Driftwood Sandbar and Grille is another casual eatery that provides guests with meal options. The Driftwood's poolside lunch and beverage service is worth taking advantage of during your stay. The Naupaka Terrace is the signature restaurant at the Aqua Kauai, and it's open daily for both breakfast and dinner. On Friday and Saturday evenings, this resort casual restaurant, which closes at 9:30 p.m., features a prime rib and seafood buffet. In addition to these three eateries, the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort also features a market and gift shop, where you can purchase various items, including sandwiches, ice cream, and other goodies.

The Aqua Kauai Beach Resort is one of the more reasonably priced resorts in Kauai, so it might be ideal for visitors looking for the Kauai resort experience but not the typical Kauai resort costs. For those who are interested in staying at a more luxurious resort in Lihue, the Kauai Marriott Resort is a good lodging alternative that deserves a closer look.
