Outrigger Lae Nani

When you're looking for a good, mid-price Hawaiian resort located close to the beach, you can hardly go wrong with the Outrigger Lae Nani. Found on the Royal Coconut Coast between Wailua and Kapaa, the Outrigger Lae Nani Resort is convenient for trips to both the north and south shores of Kauai, though there is plenty to do in the immediate area as well. You'll be steps from a golden-sand beach during your stay at the Outrigger Lae Nani, and while the grounds are relatively small, they are breathtaking. Numerous palm trees accentuate the grounds, and the small pool and patio area provide stunning ocean views, as do quite a few guest rooms.

Part of the attractive beach found at the Outrigger at Lae Nani is protected by lava rocks, which makes for safe swimming. Families with small children will especially appreciate this, as the currents and surf often present difficult swimming conditions at most of the Kauai beaches. While the beach at the Outrigger Lae Nani Resort is small, there is a number of area beaches better suited to long and languid strolls. The swimming pool and the beach aren't the only amenities to make use of during your stay at the Outrigger Lae Nani. The coin-operated laundry facilities are likely to come in handy, and guest barbecue grills are available as well. Perhaps you'll bring home a catch after a day of fishing, in which case the grills should work to your advantage. Because all of the guest units at the Outrigger at Lae Nani feature fully equipped kitchens, you can also cook in the comfort of your rental unit.

All of the guest units at the Outrigger Lae Nani Resort are privately owned condo units that share the collective resort amenities, and they feature either one or two bedrooms. Some of the units are nicer than others due to the varied ownership, and unless you book through the actual owner, it will be hard to know exactly what your unit will look like before you get here. However, you can expect your guest unit to be clean and comfortable, not to mention fairly luxurious. Spacious is a word that helps describe the guest units at the Outrigger Lae Nani, as even the smallest rooms top out at around 800 square feet. You should have everything you need to enjoy a pleasant stay at the Outrigger at Lae Nani, as standard amenities include cable TV, a stereo system, a private balcony or terrace, one or two full baths depending on the number of rooms, a hair dryer, and an iron. Everything that you'll need to prepare meals and set the table can be found in the kitchens, and daily maid service helps keep your guest room clean during your stay. Similar accommodations can be found at the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation in Poipu, while the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa in Kapaa offers guest units that are more deluxe.

You can request a room with an ocean view at the Outrigger Lae Nani Resort, but if you don't mind lush garden views, then you can save money by booking one of them. Because you're so close to the ocean, not having views of it from your room probably won't be an issue for most travelers. In addition to being close to the ocean, the Outrigger Lae Nani is also near the Wailua River, which is an excellent place to go canoeing or kayaking. Should you be looking to tee it up for a round of golf during your visit, the nearby Wailua Golf Course won't let you down. The greens fees at the Wailua Golf Course are more than fair, so if you're a golfing enthusiast, you might just end up treating yourself to more than just one round. Free parking is available for guests at the Outrigger Lae Nani, so you won't have to worry about your rental car while you're visiting the nearby Kauai attractions.
