Waioli Beach Park

Waioli Beach Park enjoys a wonderful location in lovely Hanalei, east of the Na Pali Coast and west of upscale Princeville. From here, tourists can access numerous points of interest including Kilauea, Mount Waialeale Crater, and tours of the North Shore. Dozens of nearby restaurant options offer excellent variety for even the pickiest eaters. From fast food to fine dining, the choices here seem limitless. Waioli Beach Kauai is also referred to as Pine Trees by area surfers. The beach has a half-moon shape flanked by tall trees, and the park comprises almost seven acres in total complete with picnic areas and a comfort station.
There are a dozen or so hotels near Waioli Beach to choose from. Economy, mid-range, and a smattering of upscale hotels create several options for lodging. In peak tourist season, hotels can fill rather quickly and Waioli Beach Park swarms with people. If you're planning on visiting for the day via tours of some of Kauai's northern beaches, then staying a little further away from Waioli Beach Kauai offers many more options for accommodation. However, staying in Hanalei offers great access to another of the island's treasured beaches, Hanalei Bay Beach, as well as terrific dining, shopping, and sightseeing.
Regardless of whether you're lodging in one of the hotels near Waioli Beach, it's worth a trip to the area to see the Waioli Mission House, a living museum brimming with island history. Spanning more than a century and half, this museum is an island gem. Still filled with most of its original furnishings and retaining much of its old character, this museum establishes a sense of what it was like for the early New England missionaries in Hawaii. Waioli Beach Kauai is also near scores of other attractions including Hanakapiai Falls, Kilauea Lighthouse, Waimea Canyon, and Anini Beach Park. If you're sticking around Waioli Beach for the day, great swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and sunbathing are all available to enjoy.
