The Maui Schooner Resort enjoys a wonderful location along Maui’s southwestern Gold Coast. Beautiful white sand beaches and swaying palm trees add tropical character the regional landscape, and the alluring ocean water is typically a warm 80 degrees. When a break from the beach is in order, guests of the Maui Schooner Resort can find plenty of other things to do in the area. Not far from the hotel is a 27-hole golf course, for example, and it is easy to arrange trips to such attractions as the Kula Botanical Gardens or the Haleakala Volcano.
There are lots of great attractions near the Maui Schooner Resort. Guests don’t have to leave the resort grounds to find ways to stay busy, however. Figuring among the general facilities at the Maui Schooner Resort are an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a shuffleboard court, two putting greens, a tennis court, and barbecue grills. Equipment rentals are available at the front desk for tennis, shuffleboard, and the putting green. When the time does come to explore off the resort grounds, guests of the Maui Schooner can visit the on-site Paradise Activities desk and arrange such things as Maui whale-watching adventures and helicopter tours.
The 58 guest units at the Maui Schooner Resort come in the form of condo-like suites with kitchen facilities. The suites have anywhere from one to three bedrooms and can accommodate between four and eight people. Some suites have an ocean view, and as you can imagine, they tend to command the highest rates. Thanks to recent refurbishments, the suites at the Maui Schooner Resort are better than ever. When you also consider the resort’s laid-back appeal and its great location in the lovely little town of Kihei, it only becomes more clear that this can make for an excellent Maui travel base.
