Manele Bay Resort Golf Course
Manele Bay Resort Golf Course has earned a reputation among golfers for its difficulty. Aptly named the Challenge at Manele, the golf course is built on lava outcroppings. Featuring three holes along cliffs, golf at the Manele Bay Four Seasons is complicated by the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard. Precision is a must for this golf course, as shots over natural gorges and ravines can be obstacles to success.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the Challenge at Manele offers stunning ocean views. The unspoiled natural terrain of Hawaii is an ideal backdrop for a day on the course. The prime whale watching season in the winter months brings a special treat to those playing golf at the Manele Bay Four Seasons—spectacular sightings of whales right from the fairways. Opened in 1993, on premises there are a pro shop, driving range, putting green and golf instruction available. Don’t worry if you forgot your clubs; rentals are available.
Golf at the Manele Bay Four Seasons is also available in package deals. One sample package includes a round of golf or spa treatment for each person on each day of their Lanai vacation. Teeing off from lava cliffs above the crashing Pacific Ocean is sure to please any golfer at the Manele Bay resort golf course. For the golf enthusiast, the Four Seasons also owns another property in the midlands of Lanai. The Experience at Koele, at the Four Seasons Lodge at Koele, offers another challenge to golfers, and transportation to this course is provided by the resort.
