Hana Hotels

Though the city is billed as one of the last vestiges of historic Hawaii, the completion of the Hana highway in the mid 80s has ushered in a new way of life to the city and surrounding areas. While it is nowhere near a concrete sprawl (as if anywhere outside of Waikiki is even close), there are a number of Hana Hawaii hotels sprouting up in the area, hoping to capitalize on the always cluttered tourist market in the Aloha state, including the 5 star Hotel Hana Maui. And though some find this to be an unwelcome advance, but nowhere do the Hana Maui Hawaii hotels encroach on what has made the city famous: sleepy boardwalks surrounded by rich vegetation and an atmosphere that - even by Hawaiian standards - is overwhelmingly relaxing.
Most of the Hana Maui Hawaii hotels are either small, private affairs, or massive collections of bungalows and condos. Catering mainly to budget travelers, those on romantic getaway, or the sort of people who like to enjoy only the most expensive things in life, the town of Hana ranks high amongst Hawaiian tourist destinations.
One of the most sought after hotels in all of the state is found here: the Hotel Hana Maui and Honua Spa. Right at the end of the Hana highway, this hotel is the playground of the rich and famous when visiting the island. One trip and you'll see why. Even the spa is enormous, and lavish enough to rightfully take its place in the hotel's lengthy title. Whether you want bungalow or plantation style accommodations, the Hotel Hana Maui will put you right at the crossroads of Hawaii's natural beauty and island romance.
Whether you want to wander the secluded forests or take the short drive to explore the Wainapanapa Caves, the Hana Kai Maui resort might be the place to stay. Resembling apartments more than a traditional resort, it was one of the nicest Hana Hawaii hotels you can get, for a fairly reasonable value. Want a private ocean view? Every room has one. How about a romantic dinner? Many units come with a deck that leads right to the beach, where you can spend your days watching surfers challenging the waves, or even the occasional dolphin that pops his head up along Maui's eastern coast.
For those looking to see Maui on the cheap, there are a number of small hotels and guesthouses along the outskirts of town. One of the most popular is the Hale O Pulelehua. Set apart from the normal tourist paths, its farmhouse location allows you a glimpse of the region's unspoiled beauty. For another cheap alternative, Joe's Place has a number of extremely inexpensive rooms available near the center of town. Though a far cry from the other luxurious Hana Hawaii Hotels nearby, but a popular destination for backpackers and budget travelers alike. Especially after the lengthy trip down the Hana highway, this Hana Maui Hawaii hotel is the perfect location for those who can't quite make it all the way into town, or merely want to avoid the usual tourist traps in town.
