Kihei Hotels

The Kihei hotels are well worth considering when planning vacations to the dreamy Hawaiian island of Maui. Much of the allure of these accommodations is related to their locations. Situated in southwest Maui approximately 25 minutes from the Kahului Airport, the census-designated area of Kihei offers six miles of beautiful beaches. Since this is the sunniest and driest part of Maui, the beaches are almost always ideal for sunning, swimming, surfing, and other beach-related activities. When guests of the Kihei hotels aren’t spending time at the beach, they can find any other number of ways to stay busy both in and around Kihei. With Wailea so close by, the area in general offers up a wealth of activity choices, and it isn’t difficult to venture off to other Maui destinations. Plus, the relative affordability of the Kihei hotels means that guests can hope to free up funds for other things, such as fun Maui tours.
Hotel With Best Beach

The Kihei hotels are found close to the coastline and provide their guests with easy access to the area beaches. As such, they can all suffice for Maui visitors who want to enjoy beach accommodations. In terms of ranking the Kihei hotel with the best beach, that really comes down to your personal preference. On the northern side of Kihei, for example, the Kihei Beach Resort (pictured) borders Sugar Beach, which is ideal for languid walks. To the south, the Maui Coast Hotel is situated right across from Kamaole Beach Park I. Together with the two other Kamaole Beach Parks, Kamaole Beach Park I offers excellent swimming, snorkeling, water-skiing, kayaking, and volleyball. It also has lifeguards, restrooms, and showers. Basically, it comes down to whether you want to be closer to a quieter, more natural beach or a busier beach with more in the way of activities and amenities.
Hotel With The Best Pool

If you are interested in Kihei hotels that have swimming pools, then you might start by considering the Aston Maui Lu Resort (pictured). This resort boasts a recently refreshed pool and barbecue area that is accented with numerous palm trees. Some of the palms are literally just a few feet from the pool’s edge, and a few even extend out over the water. The atmosphere at the Aston Maui Lu pool is delightfully tropical, and worth pointing out is its shape. This is the only Maui-shaped pool that you will likely find anywhere. The Aston Maui Lu might also be the Kihei hotel with the best beach, as it offers access to two private beach coves that are absolutely gorgeous.
Hotel Near Town of Kihei

All of the Kihei hotels are close to the actual town of Kihei, which features a good mix of shops and restaurants. Some are closer than others, however, and they can be a great lodging fit for Kihei visitors who want to be as near as possible to the town’s amenities. The Maui Schooner Resort (pictured) is a good example of a Kihei hotel that is centrally located. Another example would be the nearby Maui Sunset Resort. While they are close to the heart of Kihei, these hotels also offer excellent beach access, which is definitely a perk that is not to be overlooked.
