Few places are as full of top quality resorts as the
island of Maui.It's
up for debate whether Maui is the Hawaiian island dedicated
most to rest, relaxation and spending time in the sun
- it's definitely a strong contender. So it’s no
surprise that the top Maui Resorts are some of Hawaii’s
best overall.
The pinnacle of all the Maui resorts and hotels might
just be the Grand Wailea Resort
and Spa. Located between the gorgeous Ulua and Wailea
beaches, the Grand Wailea’s claim to fame is its
award winning spa facilities. The resort stretches over
40 acres of prime oceanfront real estate, and is one of
the most exclusive of all Maui resorts and hotels. The
Outrigger Wailea Resort can be found just south, and is
a great value for those attempting to see Hawaii on a
budget. The Diamond Resort Hawaii is also located here,
right on the slope of Mount Haleakala. If you venture
a little south from Wailea, you’ll come upon the
four star resort of Maui Prince Hotel Makena Beach, a
golf enthusiast’s paradise, and a little more secluded
than the other top Maui resorts and hotels
that you might find.
Lahaina, the home to Kaanapali
Beach, was once the center of the Hawaiian Kingdom,
and you’ll see why when you visit – it’s
hard to imagine anything better. And here you’ll
find top Maui resorts and hotels like the Westin
Maui Resort, with its tremendous pool area, hydrotherapy
spa and the best art collection you’ll find in any
of the Maui resorts. Also on Kaanapali, you’ll find
Maui resorts and hotels such as the Royal
Lahaina Resort, with its lush tropical grounds leading
right up to the beach, the crescent sands of the Renaissance
Wailea Beach Resort, the Marriott Wailea Resort, and the
Embassy Vacation Resort. The Napili
Kai Resort is one of the oldest resorts on the island,
and its inexpensive price tag is in no way reflective
of the state of the resort – it is merely one of
the best values of the Maui resorts.
Though most resorts are centrally located on Wailea and Kaanapali beaches, there are still quite a few located across the rest of the island - and they have everything you'll need for a top grade Hawaiian vacation. The best of the bunch is located in Kapalua, on Maui’s northwest corner – though the city is known more for its condominiums and villas, the Ritz-Carlton sits atop a hill overlooking the Pacific, with a wondrous beach located where the slope curves into the ocean.
