JW Marriott Ihilani Resort

Unlike many of the top Oahu hotels, the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort isn't located in or near Honolulu's touristy Waikiki neighborhood. Instead, you'll find this luxurious resort in the upscale Ko Olina Resort community, located about twenty miles west of the Honolulu International Airport. While it's about a 30-minute drive to Honolulu from the Marriott in Oahu, most guests appreciate the separation from the busier environs of the capital city. It's easy enough to access Honolulu and all its great attractions from the Marriott in Oahu, especially if you have a rental car, so whenever you feel the need for some urban exposure during your Oahu vacation, you can surely do so. Because of the comfort of the guest rooms at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort, however, you may never want to leave.

There are 387 guest units to choose from at the expansive Marriott Ihilani Resort, and all are well-outfitted and tastefully decorated. Most of the rooms here offer brilliant ocean and lagoon views, which adds to their overall attractiveness, and you can hardly find fault with the standard amenities each room boasts. In addition to plenty of extra space to stretch out, the guest rooms and suites at the Marriott in Oahu feature plush guest robes, air-conditioning, deep soaking tubs in the opulent bathrooms, large private balconies, and cable televisions. Basics such as a hair dryer, an alarm clock, and an iron also come standard, and internet access is available for a reasonable fee. Room service is also available, and after a day of snorkeling, hiking, or enjoying other Oahu activities, enjoying a meal in the comfort of your guest unit can be a welcome treat.

While dining in your room is always an option at the Marriott Ihilani Resort, you can also head to one of the five on-site restaurants for a more standard dining experience. Creative menus and fresh ingredients help make the Ihilani Resort restaurants all the more tantalizing. Before or after your meal, you might visit one of the two trendy bars at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort, one of which offers nightly entertainment next to the pool. When you're not dining out or enjoying drinks at the resort, the two outdoor pools are great places to swim and sunbathe. When relaxing at the beach is what you have in mind, there are beautiful, not to mention soft, stretches of sand that are just steps away. The man-made beach lagoon is ideal for younger kids because of its relatively calm water conditions. In addition, the children's program at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort is impressive, so the younger ones in your group won't have trouble keeping entertained.

Staying busy at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort is easy for adults as well, and when you're worn out after spending a few days in the sun, a visit to the 35,000-square-foot Ihilani Spa might be in order. This state-of-the-art spa is sure to put you in the right frame of mind for relaxation, and when you feel like fitting in a workout in on the side, the fitness center should more than meet your needs. That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the facilities and amenities found at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and the Ko Olina Resort community, which is why so many Oahu visitors look to book a stay here. The championship golf course alone is enough to convince many guests to make a reservation.
