Lanikai Beach

Popular for honeymoons and seaside weddings, Lanikai Beach Hawaii is a gem of a beach located on Oahu's windward side, and it is truly picture perfect. It's such an ideal spot that it's considered one of the best swimming beaches in all of Hawaii and is therefore extremely popular. Meaning Heavenly Sea in Hawaiian, Lanikai Beach is named for exactly what it brings forth.

The beach lining the water couldn't be more perfect, with fine grains of sand and pristine conditions all around. The gentle blowing of the trade winds adds yet another advantage to spending time at Lanikai Beach in Oahu. Snorkeling and swimming take top spots for things to do, though windsurfing, surfing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing are all possible as well. Sunbathing and beachcombing are both great ways to soak up some sunshine and explore the area. Lanikai Beach Hawaii spans a full mile and is situated by the exclusive residential Oahu neighborhood of Lanikai, which flanks the beach.

Lanikai is approximately a 45-minute drive from Waikiki Beach. At Lanikai Beach, the trade-off for pure perfection is the absence of any facilities located at the beach. With close proximity to Kailua, however, there are heaps of amenities within driving distance. There are also many vacation rentals available in Lanikai. Seaside condos, villas, and vacation homes can be rented, offering direct access to Lanikai Beach in Oahu. Lanikai Beach Hawaii provides the perfect combination of elements and offers beach-lovers a more secluded, natural island getaway during Oahu vacations.
