The Makaha Resort is located along the west coast of Oahu in Waianae. Those looking for a peaceful retreat will savor the secluded location with all the benefits of being away from crowds. The Makaha Resort Golf Club is the perfect place for avid golfers seeking an Oahu golfing vacation. The setting encompasses the only golf courses in Hawaii on the northwest shore and offers spectacular views of the Waianae mountains. The design of the course at Makaha Resort Golf Club was created by William F. Bell and compliments the beautiful, natural landscape of the valley. The course is also one of the championship golf courses in Hawaii applauded for its challenges. The course is designed in classic 18-hole style with a par 72 with the longest yard at 7,077 yards.


The course presents a test for both neophytes and professionals alike with a USGA rating of 73.2. Amenities provided for guests of the Makaha Resort Golf Club include a driving range, a beautifully designed clubhouse, a pro shop, private and group lessons and access to all the fairways by golf cart. Other golf courses in Hawaii in the area are Ko Olina Golf Club and the Mililani Golf Course, both a short drive away.


The 173 rooms at the Makaha Resort provide a variety of options for guests. The resort offers rooms with two baths, full kitchen suites and two bedroom cottage suites with kitchens. Each of the pleasant suites include air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, hair dryer, coffee maker, bath amenities and private lanai, many with beautiful views of the mountains and valley. Deluxe suites feature Polynesian-style vaulted ceilings and include separate bedroom and living area. Makaha Resort also offers Hawaii vacation packages that provide discounts for golf or free rounds, continental breakfast and credits toward dining.


There are many things to do in Oahu during a vacation at the Makaha Resort. Paradise Cove is located nearby and provides a superior Oahu luau experience on the breathtaking grounds of the private estate. The famous Dole plantation is also a short drive eastward. Tours of the plantation, a trip through the garden maze and narrated Oahu tours of the property are all possible. Honolulu is an hours drive south along the coast and makes a great day trip or evening jaunt. Waikiki Beach is slightly further and also makes a great daytime excursion.


There are numerous magnificent Oahu beaches to choose from both westward and toward the North Shore including Pokai Beach Bay, Yokohama Bay Beach, Sunset Beach and Waimea Beach which are only a few of the options.
