Hawaii Spas

A Hawaii vacation can definitely wear you out, thanks to the vast amounts of possible activities that you can enjoy. You might also find that after a couple of days at the beach, your skin and hair could use some special attention. That's where the day spas in Hawaii come in. Good spas in Hawaii are easy to find, thanks largely in part to the state's many spa resorts. Even if you aren't staying at one of the spa resorts in Hawaii, you can always drop by to pamper yourself for a while. Some of the spa resorts in Hawaii offer excellent lodging packages that can include spa treatments, so if you are serious about pampering yourself in the Aloha State, you'll do well to weigh the options.
Oahu Spas
When it comes to the Oahu spas, some are part of a hotel or resort, while others are not. For those who are hanging out in Honolulu, the Pure Joy Spa is one of the non-hotel spas that you will want to keep in mind. This spa, which can be found at 705 King Street, finished second place in a recent "Best of the Best" contest. Ampy's Day Spa is one of the other non-hotel Oahu Hawaii spas that you can visit in Honolulu. Ampy's Day Spa offers a full range of treatments, including facials and massage therapy, and you can find it at 1441 Kapiolani Blvd. Should you be interested in staying at a spa resort in Honolulu, then you will have a lot of options along Waikiki Beach. The Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and Spa boasts one of the top spas in Hawaii, and other resorts with spas that you might consider in Waikiki include the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa and the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach.
Honolulu isn't the only place where Oahu spas can be found, and if you're looking to escape the bustle of the city for a while, you might head over to the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa. You can find this upscale resort hotel in the Ko Olina Resort & Marina, which is fast becoming one of the island's top vacation destinations. Up on the North Shore, where surfing is popular in the winter months, the Turtle Bay Resort is a good place to go if you want to pamper yourself. It's Spa Luana offers body scrub, hand, waxing, massage, and salon treatments.
As is true of the spas in Hawaii in general, the Maui spas are most often attached to an upscale hotel or resort. Of all the Maui Hawaii spas, the Honua Spa at the Hotel Hana is the most renowned. Interestingly enough, while the Honua Spa can be found at one of the more luxurious Hawaiian hotels, the rates are relatively friendly, which lends to its popularity. Perhaps after a drive on the scenic Hana Highway you'll head over to the Honua Spa to treat yourself to a spa session.
During your Maui visit, finding a good spa won't be hard. One of the other top Maui spas that you might add to your list is the Spa Grande, which can be found at the Grand Wailea Resort. Travel & Leisure magazine consistently rates Spa Grande as one of the best spas in the country, so your experience here should be a good one. The Kaanapali and Kapalua resort areas are excellent places to look for Maui spas if you need some special care. Perhaps the spa at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua will suit your fancy, or maybe you'll prefer the spa at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali.
Big Island Spas
As is true on the islands of Oahu and Maui, the Big Island boasts some very attractive spas. Among the best is the Kohala Sports Club and Spa, which can be found at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. After enjoying some beach time on the Kohala Coast, visiting this comprehensive and complete spa is bound to restore your skin and hair, not to mention your inner soul should it need it. When you're not treating yourself to a massage, a body wrap, or some of the other wonderful treatments at the Kohala Sports Club and Spa, you can always hit the gym to fit a workout in. Many spas in Hawaii boast gyms or fitness rooms for those who are interested in burning some calories on the side. In addition to considering the Kohala Sports Club and Spa when hanging out on the Kohala Coast, you'll also do well to consider the Mauna Lani Spa and the Madara Spa at Waikoloa Beach, both of which figure among the very best day spas in Hawaii.
Kauai Spas
Kauai visitors who are interested in visiting some of the top Hawaii spas will not want to pass on the chance to enjoy a session at the ANARA Spa. This is the best spa on the island, and you can find it at the Grand Hyatt Kauai, which is arguably the best resort in the entire state. It's certainly one of the more exclusive Hawaiian resorts. The ANARA Spa is the second-largest in Hawaii, and it's simply an ideal place to rejuvenate both body and soul. You can find the Grand Hyatt Kauai, and hence the ANARA Spa, in Poipu, which is only a fifteen-minute drive from the airport in Lihue.
Poipu isn't the only place where you can pamper yourself on a Kauai getaway. Up on the northern side of the island, the Hanalei Day Spa and the Princeville Health Club & Spa deserve some attention. The former, which is part of the Hanalei Colony Resort, offers a full array of spa treatments, including ayurvedic treatments, which are aimed at comforting and soothing weary bodies. As for the Princeville Health Club & Spa, which is not part of a resort or hotel, you can enjoy a full range of treatments and also burn some stress and calories in the gym. Some of the specialties include the Hanalei Tropical body wrap treatment, the Limu Seaweed Wrap, and the Hawaiian Salt Glow. For those who are wondering, the Hawaiian Salt Glow treatment features a mineral salt and Hawaiian plant oil massage, which will leave your skin feeling soft and looking radiant.
Lanai, which is a relatively small and underdeveloped island, isn't the first place that you might look to when trying to track down spas in Hawaii. You can definitely pamper yourself on Lanai, however. All you'll have to do is head over to the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay, which is home to the island's only true spa. The Four Seasons Lodge at Koele, which is the other resort on the island, does boast a special spa suite, but it's hardly a spa in the truest sense. As for the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay, its spa facility is relatively new, as is the 1,500-square-foot fitness room. While not one of the larger day spas in Hawaii, the spa at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay still manages to offer a variety of treatments, including the signature Alii Banana Coconut Scrub.
