Bogus Basin is located about 45 minutes from the town of Boise by car, and features 52 runs and 37 miles of trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Bogus Basin also has night skiing.
Idaho ski resorts in Coeur d'Alene are also a lot of fun. The Silver Mountain Ski Resort is among the most popular Idaho ski resorts in the northern part of the state. From the town of Coeur d'Alene, , Silver Mountain is about a 30 minute drive. Among Idaho ski areas, Silver Mountain has the longest gondola, which operates year round, and is in fact the longest gondola in the world. An Idaho ski vacation at Silver Mountain is a great choice for an easily accessible Idaho skiing vacation.
Another popular spot for skiing Idaho is the Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Schweitzer is located about 45 miles north of the town of Sandpoint. Idaho skiing at Schweitzer is a favorite among locals and travelers from nearby Washington and some other states. Idaho skiing packages for season trips to Schweitzer are available, as are season passes for the other resorts mentioned here in Idaho.
