Tamarack Resort

Tamarack Resort is an all new ski resort opened in December of 2004 in Western Idaho. The Tamarack Resort is being offered as a four-season resort, meaning that travelers will find activities at the Tamarack Resort Idaho all year round. The Tamarack Ski Resort is the first brand new ski resort to be built and opened in the United States in more than twenty years. The Tamarack Ski Resort is located a little more than 90 miles north of the city of Boise, on the western shore of Lake Cascade.
Although the Tamarack Resort is recently opened, it is actually the resort's second try at a successful opening. In the 1980's the resort tried to open but due to unmet federal regulations for a ski resort was soon closed down. The new Tamarack Resort looks to join the ranks of other successful ski resorts in Idaho, including Soldier Mountain, Silver Mountain, Sun Valley and Schweitzer.
Tamarack Ski Resort features multiple runs, with lower runs have snow making machines to ensure that there is always snow on the mountains during the winter. In addition to the ski and snowboarding runs, there are almost twenty full miles of trails for cross-country skiing. There are also backwoods trails available for snowshoeing and winter hiking.
Along with the winter sports, Tamarack Resort Idaho features spring and summer sports as well. Osprey Meadows is a lush golf course opened in May of 2006, which features 18 holes and even golf lessons and golf school for any interested visitors in the spring and summer. There are also miles upon miles of mountain biking trails during the warmer months, and the Tamarack Resort Idaho has quickly become a major destination for mountain bikers.
The Tamarack Ski Resort is also fast becoming a hot spot for real-estate. In addition to typical resorts and vacation rentals that are available, there are also many resort condos for sale. Many travelers choose to invest in condos or time-share properties in order to stay and rent out their properties to other vacationers. There are also a number of resort homes available for purchase near the mountain.
