Union Station Chicago

Union Station Chicago is the central train station in the Windy City and is a major hub for national train routes. The station also serves as a major hub for the Metra commuter train lines that serve the Chicago suburbs. Union Station is much more than just a train station, however. Opened in 1925, the structure is revered for its architectural beauty and significance. Beaux-Arts facades and massive Corinthian columns adorn the Union Station Chicago exterior.

Step inside Chicago's Union Station, and you will be greeted by marble floors, brass lamps, and other attractive features. The interior space that is known as the Great Hall is especially impressive and can be rented out for elegant special events, such as weddings and wedding receptions. As is true of so many other busy train stations around the world, Union Station also features an assortment of restaurants, convenience stores, and specialty shops for travelers to take advantage of when passing through.
