Baton Rouge Hotels

When you visit Baton Rouge, the capital city of Louisiana, you won’t have a difficult time finding accommodations.  Baton Rouge LA hotels run from the full service downtown convention center to the budget motel.  There are even a few luxury bed and breakfast Baton Rouge hotels.

The new Sheraton Hotel Baton Rouge Convention Center is the largest and only full-service downtown hotel.  With 300 spacious guest rooms and suites, it is designed for the business traveler and has complimentary high speed and wireless internet access.  It also boasts 14,000 square feet of meeting space.  It is located near the Belle of the Baton Rouge riverboat casino and has an outdoor pool.  There is also an atrium garden, lobby lounge and a sports bar inside this.

There are also a plethora of all suites Baton Rouge LA Hotels to choose from.  These are the affordable Baton Rouge hotels, with the bigger budget hotel amenities and extra large rooms.  The Hilton Garden Inn at the Baton Rouge airport has a pool, business center, and an in house gift shop and restaurant.  The Townplace suites by Marriott hotel Baton Rouge has suites with full kitchens and an indoor pool.   Other all suites Baton Rouge hotels include such great names like Springfield Inn by Marriott and the Best Western Suites.  You won't find the luxuries like an an in house spa, but not to worry the concierge can set you up with an appointment at one of the many day spas the city has to offer.

The best hotels in Baton Rouge are the excellent bed and breakfast hotels.  There is the Stockade bed & breakfast in the capital city.  It was built in a stockade that occupied the area during the Civil War.  It is near LSU and downtown Baton Rouge on the historic Highland Road.  It is full of antiques and luxury accommodations.

Another bed and breakfast hotel Baton Rouge boasts is the Stunning Victorian Chateau de Clarisse bed & breakfast.  This beautiful gingerbread historic home will take you back to a time of peace and serenity in the old south.  As with all bed and breakfast hotels Baton Rouge offers, they have limited space and sell out early so book in advance to get a place!

Probably the biggest treat of all the hotels in Baton Rouge LA is the plantation home Nottoway Plantation, just south of the city.  Staying in this plantation home is a once in a lifetime experience and one of the great things to do on your next Louisiana vacation.  Fourteen rooms and cottages are preserved in historical splendor.  There is even a bridal suite and an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi.  You will be served your meals in luxury and southern decadence as you taste the legendary mint julep, Creole gumbo or the amazing bread pudding with rum sauce (a Louisiana specialty!).  The plantation row hotel bed and breakfats are only an hour and a half north of New Orleans, so you can rent a car and make a day trip into the "Big Easy".

If budget Baton Rouge LA hotels are what you need, you will also not be disappointed.  There are plenty of cheap Baton Rouge hotels in the 2 star and even 1 star quality.  There are chains like Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, La Quinta and Holiday Inn.  There are the super budget motels like Microtel and Super 8 Motel, but like all super budget Baton Rouge hotels, be aware they are sometimes just a step above camping with a clean bed and a bathroom and few amenities.

If camping is your thing, Baton Rouge has several RV parks and campgrounds nearby with fishing, golf, and several outdoor activites for the nature lover.
