Cheap Hotels in New Orleans

Cheap hotels in New Orleans can be a great alternative for those people looking to reduce the sticker shock of a big trip for the likes of Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest. Millions of people venture to the Big Easy each and every year for these and other festivals and events and many of them are looking for cheap French Quarter hotels. Others who plan to stay the whole week for Mardi Gras, or are otherwise booking an extended visit, may want to look into weekly rate hotels in New Orleans.
Hotel Le Cirque is a good option in terms of low-priced New Orleans hotels. It is centrally located in the New Orleans Arts District across from the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and just two blocks from the National World War II Museum. Canal Place and the French Quarter are just a few minutes away. The friendly guest service staff can help arrange transportation around the city or book tours for you and while you are staying at the Hotel Le Cirque you have complimentary access to a workout facility five blocks away. The rooms are basic but well appointed with wireless Internet access, cable television, coffee makers, and nice bedding. If you are heading to the city and need to find cheap hotels in New Orleans, this is an accommodation where you will not have to sacrifice comfort or cleanliness. It is a large hotel and usually is full, especially around peak tourist times. As such, it is not the most private hotel, but the break in price more than compensates for this, especially if you plan to spend the majority of your time exploring the city and enjoying the area attractions.
The Hotel Royal is one of the cheap French Quarter hotels in prime location near many of the most popular attractions in the city. It is just one block from Bourbon Street and not at all far from the Riverwalk, many of the best restaurants, and nightlife in New Orleans. The accommodations are basic, but one key feature is that you get complimentary parking behind the hotel. While this may not seem at first like the most important thing, once you are in the city, you will appreciate the ability to come and go as you wish for free. Also, parking comes at a premium in the vibrant French Quarter. Among cheap French Quarter hotels, this is one of the best for location and value for your money.
If you don’t mind staying a little bit off of the beaten path, a place like the Studio 6 Extended Stay (pictured) may fit the bill if you are in need of weekly rate hotels in New Orleans. This one is located in the northeast portion of the city beyond Metairie on Lake Pontchartrain. It takes a little time to drive into the city, but the rates are alluring. Weekly rate hotels in New Orleans closer to downtown get more and more expensive. If you do book far enough in advance, however, you may be able to find cheap hotels in New Orleans that are not necessarily extended stay hotels, but offer discounted rates for people booking for a week. In any event, book as far in advance as possible to ensure the best rates.
