As long as you get your marriage license in Maine, the ship’s captain can legally perform a Maine wedding ceremony. If you would prefer to get married in a religious ceremony, the captain can dock the boat at a wedding site along the coast. If you do plan a Maine wedding on a Windjammer cruise, you will need to be realistic about the ever-changing Maine weather patterns. Be sure to have a “plan B” in case of inclement weather.
