In Maryland events take on a whole new meaning. The state literally celebrates hundreds of events each year, shaking things up and adding excitement to the year round agenda. Wine enthusiasts can also enjoy a number of other wine-related Maryland events such as the St. Michaels Food & Wine Festival in April, the Food & Wine Festival at National Harbor, The Great Grapes Wine, Arts & Food Festival in Cockeysville in June and The Great Grapes Wine, Arts & Food Festival in Annapolis at the end of July. If you're in Salisbury during the third weekend of October, don't miss the Wicomico County Autumn Wine Festival.

Maryland film events are high on the list when it comes to events and festivals. The major one of all Maryland film events in the Maryland Film Festival held each year in Baltimore for four days in May. This time of year sees Baltimore hotels fill up in the blink of an eye and restaurants and shopping malls become packed with visitors.
