The racetrack is made of fine, red clay making dirt racing popular here. Hagerstown Speedway is renowned as one of the safest, and the fastest tracks in the country. It's open from February through October and features many kinds of professional races.
With many events happening in the downtown area through Downtown Live!, an events committee that keeps things exciting, there is always plenty to do in the city center. Latin dance lessons, wine dinners on the Potomac River and beer tasting dinners are only the beginning. With many highways and routes running directly through the city, Hagerstown travel is more popular than expected.
