After completing four long years of high school, many teenagers celebrate their graduation with a trip to the Ocean City beaches. While called Senior Week, it's longer than seven days. From the middle of May on into June, the newly graduated flock to the seaside resort to enjoy the fun events in Ocean City as well as the summer sun, under-21 nightclubs, and all the excitement of the Ocean City boardwalk.

Visitors also gather for other events along the beach, including outdoor movies and the Family Beach Olympics, featuring sand castle building contests, relays, and tug-of-war contests.
While the end of summer is a cause for sadness for some, it's a reason for celebration. One of the grandest and most attended of all the Ocean City Maryland events, Sunfest ushers in a new season with an array of fun events, many of which are free. The three days of fun in late September includes great food, music, headlining concerts, and arts and crafts all during this fun festival.
As the ball is about to drop, the calendar of Ocean City events features a grand New Year's Eve celebration. Many of the Maryland beach resorts, nightclubs, and restaurants roll out the red carpet and champagne toasts to ring in the New Year. And with special packages, it's easy to find a great rate for the celebration.
The holiday lights are still burning bring into the first days of January. The brightest of all of the Ocean City events, Winterfest, features millions of holiday lights, hot chocolate, and a boardwalk tram specially transformed into a winter mode of transportation.
Other December events in Ocean City include the Victorian Christmas celebration, which honors the town's heritage as a favorite beach getaway since the railroad came to town. During the celebration, businesses and houses are decked with holiday finery, concerts fill the chilly air with music, and horse-and-carriage rides are a memorable experience. The holiday parade in early December is also one of the Ocean City events that will help you get in the holiday spirit.
