Martha's Vineyard beach rentals include some spectacular homes that can impress even the most discerning of travelers. Perks like a private pool, a gourmet kitchen, and plenty of extra space for entertaining are just some of the highlights that you can expect to enjoy when staying at one of the more luxurious Martha's Vineyard beach house rentals, and there's no telling what else might be at your disposal. Perhaps your upscale beach house rental in Martha's Vineyard will feature a grand piano or an exercise and game room. Chances are good that you will quickly find something that suits your wants and needs right along the best beaches on this Massachusetts island.

The Martha's Vineyard beach rentals are in good supply across the island, so you can choose accordingly depending on the kind of experience that you wish to have. Some travelers might prefer a beach house in Edgartown or Oak Bluffs so that they can be close to the island's best nightlife, while others will find a beach house in a quieter destination such as Menemsha to be preferable. Edgartown and Oak Bluffs are home to a number of rental properties in general, as is true of Vineyard Haven, so you might start with these destinations and go from there.

The Martha's Vineyard beach house rentals can be very expensive to rent, especially when it comes to those properties that are found right on the sand. If you don't mind being a couple of blocks from the beach or even a half mile or so away, you can generally save a significant amount on rates. Many home rentals on the island advertise the fact that they are within walking distance of a beach, and this is good enough for many tourists. In Oak Bluffs, for example, there are some great home rentals that list their proximity to such beaches as Inkwell Beach.

The rates for the Martha's Vineyard beach rentals are at their highest during the summer season, and they can drop considerably at other times of year. During the peak season especially, a minimum stay is usually required, and this can sometimes be as long as a week. Of course, chances are good that you will want to stay much longer than a week. Most, if not all of the beach house rentals in Martha's Vineyard are extremely well-equipped retreats that can quickly have you feeling right at home. In and around Katama Beach alone, you will find scores of a rental homes that seduce the traveler with their many inviting amenities.

Some of the Martha's Vineyard rental properties are found on or near public beaches, while others allow their guests to access private ones like Lucy Vincent Beach, so you might keep this in mind when making your final decision. An advantage to having access to a private beach is the fact that private strips of sand are usually less crowded than public ones. Once you find a rental property on or near the beach of your choice, you might just go ahead and book it, provided that it is available. These properties can fill up months in advance, so staying ahead of the game is the recommended course of action.
