Martha’s Vineyard Resorts

The Martha's Vineyard resorts are relatively few in number. In fact, large hotels with an ample amount of facilities are relatively hard to come by in general on this popular Massachusetts vacation island, though visitors can find a small number of lodging establishments that offer a resort experience. These lodging establishments include beach hotels that provide wonderful access to the sand.

Whether you are interested in Martha's Vineyard luxury resorts or you wish to stay at a more budget-friendly resort hotel, your choices will be limited. There are really only two hotels on the island that you could arguably classify as resorts, and they include the Winnetu Oceanside Resort. This luxury hotel at 31 Dunes Road enjoys a lovely location on Katama Beach, or South Beach as it is also known, and if you want to venture into Edgartown proper, there is a three-mile bike path that provides an ideal link.

Leaving the grounds might be hard to do during a stay at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort, as there is plenty to do onsite. The facilities include tennis courts, a fitness center, two heated pools, a putting green, and a high-quality restaurant. As for the rooms, there are more than 100 to select from, and they all exude an inviting modern edge. Studios and suites that feature kitchenettes are available, and should you prefer, you can also hope to secure a suite with a full kitchen, a private cottage unit, or an extra spacious home or townhouse. The cottages, homes, and townhouses also have full kitchens and can serve as wonderful Martha's Vineyard vacation rentals.

When searching for Martha's Vineyard resorts, the other hotels that you will want to keep in mind is the Harbor View Hotel & Resort. Renovations have helped to keep this historic hotel in the heart of Edgartown current over the years, and an alluring spa figures among the facilities. A large outdoor pool, a pair of tennis courts, two restaurants, and a bar that serves both food and drinks are also among the amenity highlights at the Harbor View Hotel & Resort, and the available services include concierge service and room service (seasonal).

Both rooms and suites are available at the Harbor View Hotel & Resort (pictured), and they are all well-equipped. Soft robes, flat-screen TVs, clock radios with CD players, safes, and hair dryers are just some of the standard amenities. There are 124 total guest units, and should you secure one, you will be close to everything that Edgartown proper has to offer. This includes some of the best shops and restaurants on the island. You won't be right in the heart of town, but relatively short walk is all that it will take to get there. Along the way, you can admire delightful captain's houses, the likes of which give testament to the rich maritime history of Martha's Vineyard.
