Nantucket Vacation Rental

Nantucket Vacation Rental

When cruising across Nantucket Sound all feelings of worry seem to drift right out of your head. Nantucket vacation rentals have a way of erasing everyday hectic life and replacing it with carefree days of refreshing ocean breezes, sunny skies and a wealth of things to do. Nantucket vacation rentals come in many different shapes and sizes such as villas, homes, cabins, cottages and condos. With such a varied choice in Nantucket vacation rentals, all you have to do is make sure you book well ahead of your planned vacation.

Nantucket house rentals are possible to acquire all around the area but Madaket is the only other area that offers a full service marina and boat storage. Keep that in mind if looking for Nantucket house rentals with that amenity included. Opposite from Madaket, Wauwinet is fairly remote and far from the maddening crowds. The beaches are secluded and access to Great Point provides excellent fishing and close proximity to the Head of the Harbor for great sailing and windsurfing. A half hour drive to Sconset is required for supplies, but for those who relish their privacy and prefer a quiet location, this is a great place to look for Nantucket house rentals.

Rentals in Nantucket can also be found in the quaint area of Sconset on the southeastern side of the Nantucket. Sconset is a lovely place with rose-covered cottages, shell driveways and excellent sunrises. In Sconset you are close to world-class golf, wide beaches and a local store and restaurants in summer so you really never have to leave if you don’t want to! The widest of beaches in the area offer space and plenty of beach combing, sunning and swimming. When looking for rentals in Nantucket, Sconset is a great option.

Take a look at rentals in Nantucket in the Tom Nevers area where it’s more wooded and private yet many rentals are still fairly close to the beach. This area is not as good for swimming as the other but South Shores is nearby as well as some top golf courses. In Tom Nevers there are also tennis courts, a roller-hockey rink and several bike paths. South Shore is home to the best, yet fairly crowded beaches on Nantucket and some of the best in the U.S. Some areas are thickly settled communities in this area. South Shore has great access to beaches and bike paths.

A Nantucket vacation rental in Mid-Island is likely going to go for the most reasonable rate on Nantucket. Larger homes on wooded properties offering more privacy are here. Though none are oceanside South Shore beaches are a short drive. This area is where Nantucket’s newest homes in planned communities are being built.

Saving the best areas for last we have Nantucket Town and The Harbor. Town is where the restaurants shops and beaches are abundant and it’s only a short walk to The Harbor. Many people feel that Town is the place to be and other feel its too busy. Town is where the largest concentration of pre-civil war homes in America are. Nantucket Town is the center of it all and a fun place to take a Nantucket vacation rental.

If looking for the ultimate in luxury for your Nantucket vacation rental then The Harbor is where it’s at. The most affluent and expansive homes are found here and many boast awesome views of the town, the harbor and the ocean. Nantucket Island has a bit of something for everyone. When looking for a Nantucket vacation rental make sure to give yourself plenty of time and possibly enlist a real estate agent to help you sort through the many options leaving you more time to daydream about your upcoming holiday!
