Nantucket Beach Rentals

Nantucket beach rentals are the most popular guest accommodations on the island, due in large part to the vast selection and variety. You can find Nantucket beach houses, cottages, and villas in a number sizes and styles located all around the island. There are habitable beach locations along the coastline of much of the island. It is also possible to reserve accommodations at the island's hotels or resorts, but may people prefer the greater discretion a vacation rental affords them in terms of style, size, and location. If you are a return visitor to Nantucket Island and have already fallen in love with a particular beach location, you may want to stay in that location. There are a number of factors to take into account. For example, families with small children may decide to choose one of the Nantucket beach houses where there are calm waters suitable for swimming and beach activities.

There are vacation properties available for rent in Nantucket Harbor, facing out to the Nantucket Sound, as well as on the southern coast of the island facing the Atlantic Ocean. While each and every location in Nantucket offers its own charm and distinctive qualities, the Nantucket Harbor is perhaps the most popular place for tourists. There are a few reasons why this is the case. Proximity to not only some of the island’s best beaches, but also some of the best dining, shopping, and attractions tops the list. For people who would rather leave the car on the mainland, this is a perfect location to make great use of the easy transportation system on the island. You can rent a bicycle or moped and easily access the beaches, boutiques, restaurants, and bars in just minutes. Historic downtown Nantucket is a wonderful place to enjoy the cultural traditions alive on the island, evident in the cobblestone roads and plethora of old buildings. Some of the very best restaurants are interwoven into this charming and quaint area of the island. Jetties Beach, Brant Point, and Children’s Beach are three of the most popular beaches in this area on the harbor.

The water is not nearly as calm on the southern coast of the island at beach destinations like Cisco, Madaket, and Surfside Beach, but these are nonetheless some of the most alluring and picturesque places to stay. The broad vistas of the Atlantic Ocean that many of these Nantucket beach houses offer seem straight off of a postcard. An advantage of staying on the southern part of the island is that you will also have easy access to the Nantucket airport.

Wherever you decide to stay on the island, you will want to factor in the size of the group, the space you will need, and the style that you are interested in. Many of the vacation cottages and homes on Nantucket are designed and decorated in the New England-style, playing on themes of the seafaring and nautical life that has been prevalent on the island for centuries. There are luxury homes available that easily sleep up to ten people, as well as romantic bungalow-style cottages that could be perfect for a romantic getaway or even a honeymoon. Most Nantucket beach houses come equipped with appliances and most of the amenities that you would expect from a hotel, including nice furnishings, TVs, and patios. The most luxurious homes on the island offer the finest amenities, including pools, furnished terraces, and much more.
